I'm in college so it's a bit skewed
How many people in the real world are actually jacked?

34, almost 35. Wife is 32. We make it to the gym 2-3x week, but are overall pretty active.
90% of our friends are about the same......but that's probably skewed because I refuse to be friends/hang out with fat lazy people or people who are "too busy" to go to the gym but are fat and want to talk about all the tv shows they watch and they probably dont want to hang out with me, because we'd have nothing in common and I have no respect for people who choose to let themselves go or value the taste of food more than their health....there needs to be an understanding and a balance.Last edited by bsmit107; 09-14-2020 at 11:15 AM.

Alot of lifters at my gym don't look like they lift. They are in shape, but not enough muscle mass to fill a T or look swole in anything but a slim fitted shirt.
If by 'guys' you mean males, then I guess it would be a tiny minority, as they are mostly focused in the 18-35 range."Honor is something that all men are born with. It cannot be taken from you nor can it be granted. It must only not be lost."

Among my close friends from school 4 including me currently lift, 6 don't. One is a personal trainer, one is tiny and you'd never notice he lifts let alone has been lifting for 15 years, the last one just started sports again after nearly a decade of no physical activity whatsoever, and I am a bloatmaxxed wannabe powerlifter.
Among the 5 nonlifters are 2 former lifters, who got injured and stopped, and 1 guy, who only plays soccer but kinda looks like he lifts. He is a supermanlet at 5'3 maybe that's why.

30.2% of the adult population meets the minimum muscle-strengthening exercise recommendations (two or more times/week). That's a really low bar to clear though....so guess, maybe 10% of that group look like they lift. Imma guess ~3%.
