Oculus is apparently not just for pron, as I've discovered with Chronos, which was another and only other truly worthwhile VR game for me.
Tried to play a bunch of games since and they've all been clunky as chit, especially Skyrim and other games not built for VR from scratch.
Valve got everything right here, like Chronos guys did but this time in first person: great controls, great pacing for VR, so fukking tense at times. I never knew I could be terrified of a fukkin headcrab this much.
The atmosphere is really there in VR. The first time the combine started fukking with everyone, I could feel it. And the first time a tripod walked by me I was like holy chit, this is what it must be like. And then the headcrab zombies...
Sad that it didnt sell like crazy so we are not likely to get more. Mind boggles what could be possible in VR with enough support.

Even though they're easy enemies, good ****ing Lord I get a jump scare every time I walk through one unnoticed and I take my sweet ass times clearing rooms with these ****ers. Something about slowly moving towards an alien mouth with teeth really rustles my jimmies and idk if I could handle seeing them in VR

Played Alyx on an Index. I used the locomotion with the joystick to move around and there were a couple times where I kind of lost my balance because of the joystick vs head movement but it was dope. 100% the coolest game I have played on any VR setup and it really shows you how intense games are going to be in the near future.
