How do you deal with it especially if they love talking about it? Do you try to debate or just keep silent or replace them?

Yes. Just about everyone in my family. Srs.
I don't talk about it because I get accused of being a "cold-hearted bootstrapper". About the only person I can speak to that mostly agrees with me is my grandmother, which makes sense because I think like my grandfather (rip).
There are probably more members of my family that agree with me, maybe not entirely, but I don't broach the subject because it is typically a landmine. The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Damn. I am conservative but I also am not that bothered by left ideas. But damn, some friends/relatives of mine are into politics and liberal ideas that they cant seem to accept anything else. Which is exhausting. Sad cuz I am close with a few of them. I try to avoid talking about politics but they cant.
Lucky you.CHRISTMAS Forever Crew

Ironically they all act out conservative values in their private life and reap the rewards. Their supposed political opinions are incongruent with their conduct. They are caring and want to help others. Their heart is in the right place but their ideas on how to help are misguided. I might press the matter if they were ****ing up their own lives with bad ideas but they're not so I live and let live.
