well it's obvious he died of heart failure from taking too much starburst. The guy was built but claimed he only went to the gym like 3 days a week for 30 minutes at a time.
brb do ONE set of squats, keep lowering the weight until you can barely squat the bar
brb repeat that set three weeks later

Lol Mike Mentzer went purely based on anecdote and personal experience, he was also blasting a fuk ton of roids, he wasn’t a scientist nor did he base his advice on anything rooted in studies or research.
That being said, he is correct that you don’t need to do 10 sets per muscle and be in the gym for 30 hours a week. Intensity is key.
