Just wondering what kind of car owners you guys are?

- One super nice daily

or

- simple cheap daily with a nice weekend/project car

I used to keep just one nice daily and mod that until recently. I sold my nice dd and bought a cheap truck for work and my weekend car. Each has its own pros and cons, just wondering what most guys here do

Always have had multiple cars crew... But even that as usual gets out of hand , at least with me.

-2015 Mustang GT (tastefully modded)

And looking to add a sporty sedan to relive my truck of daily driver duty because its about to be on call to pull a big a$$ boat most of the year.

2005 Sequoia lifted, 33in tires, all brand new OEM front suspension and steering components and she handles like a dream. Steel bumper incoming, and soon to be supercharged. Just sold the 100 series land cruiser looking to pick up an 06/07 LX 470.

Love how under the radar the Sequoia flies. Excellent Mexico road trip car. Park it anywhere, bump into anything, police and nobody gives a chit.

2UZ-FE GOAT Toyota truck powerplant. Bought a brand new Tundra and sold it months later. Lovely truck but just unnecessary.

Other car is a 2017 911. Confuses the chit out of people when they see me driving one or the other. A lot of people think my 911 is a rental, I like it better that way.

i have a truck (Ram) for a daily and a fun car (SRT Challenger) as a secondary. i did not do the two vehicle thing until i was 30 and established my living situation. i do not recommend trying it until you have that figured out first.

love being able to drive the dog around in the truck (GSD and constantly sheds), or use it for kayaks/camping trips/house project hauling, then have the car kept nice and clean at all times and for mostly solo driving.

leaving one of them sitting around too long isn't healthy for them so i find myself juggling them a lot and trying to keep them active. especially during these times where i'm not driving to work 5x a week anymore.

I have a nice (under 25k nice) new commuter vehicle for a comfy drive around and good gas (2019 subie impreza limited) and a fairly decent 2014 jeep wrangler which gf and I share as a summer fun car.

I may get rid of the subaru for something more fun to drive in a few years but for now it's my Lil slobaru and for 23k it's got alot of nice features.

Gf daily is a 2020 audi q5 s line with some midnight package or something, it's fawkin nice. We got 3 new cars in 2020 lols.

I also got really lucky in some online gambling endeavors so the extra change helped that out.

The 4R replaced my Jeep SRT this spring. Depending on what FCA does with the next gen Grand Cherokee, I may pick up a Trackhawk for a summer / winter drift rally toy. But also love the look of murdered out Challenger Hellcats...... or a coyote mustang ...... or a C7Z..... or C8. Maybe I should just get a cheap motorcycle to get my summer speed / noise fix, lol.

I've got a nice fullsize truck, wife drives a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm rebuilding a motor right now that will be put into a gutted car for autocross/hooning withing the next year.

I would own 10 cars.....all projects......and a full shop if I had the room.

Some good ideas in this thread, I personally like driving a cheap pos for a daily. I'm not married yet or have kids that I need something nice to take the family around in, even then I would probably get the wife a nice car.

One of the best things ever for me is seeing how some people treat me when I'm driving a pos, becomes much easier to negotiate deals in my line of work

With me when I have one nice car I tend to modify it and then I ruin, so it becomes a hassle to daily it, lol.

I remember the days of having a true beater car and I don't want that again, lol.

We had a 1994 Corolla 5 Speed manual given to us for free back in 2004.. That POS beater stayed in the family until 2 years ago. Not even joking, that thing was pedal to the metal every god damn time it was driven. Banging through gears. Pushing it to it's limit while getting completely ignored is a God send. It was ugly and ghetto but man it was fun. I ended up selling it to a UTI student for $700 in perfect running condition. Made that dudes day. I bet it's still running. All it ever needed was motor/tranny mounts due to the abuse. I constructed a home depot intake for the LOLs. Beater cars you can rag on are so rewarding, especially toyotas, especially manuals. It was fun beating late 90's/early 00 Honda Accords and other random crap. They'd get so cheesed.

Daily beater is a 2008 ranger with a lift and 31s for winter and 33s for summer. Pretty beat up but under 90k miles and runs great

Nearly 2 years ago I bought a Corvette Z06 and I drive that from late March through late October.

My winter beater is my previous nice car: a Charger SRT 392. LOL.

I'm pursuing my doctorate so I barely have free time. I used to have a 2007 Mustang along with my current car, but I sold it to help pay for school. Just drive a 2017 Miata now.
