Not sure what current levels are, but wondering about the most popular cortisol-reducing supplements out there. Ashwaganda? Or something less-natural?

I am sceptical about such things. Cortisol is not a toxin, it's serving a useful function in your body. Chronic stress is bad for you and will result in chronically raised cortisol levels - but if you think that it's the cortisol causing the stress, you have it the wrong way round. It's like blaming insulin for getting fat - nope, it's because you ate too much. The insulin was there to process what you put in your mouth.

I agree with this, but there is a method for treating stress and anxiety medicinally that can cure the problem long-term.
The way some people have such stress and anxiety is that they are so bad off and have such a negative mental feedback loop, that they can't address the issues causing the problem until they are treated medicinally first. This allows the patient to be able to focus and have reduced symptoms, allowing themselves to make major life changes or habit changes more effectively.
So I agree with Suffolk, but if you find something that helps you temporarily, use that time to find the fix. Because your Band-Aid WILL rip off sooner or later.Life is constant learning. Give advice about things you know. Ask questions about things you don't.
