    Elbow assymetry unusual

I know nobody's perfect, but my elbows are at very different heights when I grip the bar in a squat. What do you think the problem is? In the past I had bad shoulder pain in the right shoulder (on the right side in this vid, the higher elbow) but that's cleared up now.

BTW, this was filmed backward on my phone, it's like a mirror image.

Your right hand also looks higher to me and the bar looks slightly tilted down to the left side. Is it possible your right trap/shoulder is more developed, leading to an uneven shelf and tilted bar, leading to a diff in hand and elbow height?

I wouldn't have noticed that myself, it's nothing severe.

If you had an injury I think that's why have developed a reaction to it which changes your movement patterns. You've learned to avoid pain by avoiding the positions that (used to) hurt. I guess this will change over time, the only thing I would do is make sure you are using the fullest possible ROM and perfect form in pulling exercises, this should be easy to do with the DB row for example (although I guess you aren't doing these now you're done with weeks 1-4 of the program?)

Just RoM difference in the shoulder joint, only thing to do is shoulder mobility work n consciously pull the tighter shoulder down harder than the other.

I've seen as many people with this as not

Ok, that's reassuring. Last thing I want is some deformity to derail this progress.

@Suffolk, Haven't done any pulling in maybe 2 weeks. Prior to that was once or twice a week chins 3x8-10. Although I always trained back religiously prior to this year.

@Fakie, It's possible there's a trap assymetry but I doubt it. I've always pulled DL double overhand with straps, always done BB rows and pulldowns. I think it's a shoulder thing.

@Wolf, Thanks I guess it's minor after all.

Looks like the hands aren't the same distance from the center. I'd also wager that the elbow that looks higher is also pulled a little to the rear.

Yes it's higher and farther back. This probably puts the bar unevenly across my back. It feels like I pull both hands close and tight, but clearly they're off center.
