I've noticed a lot of love for eggs ITT, are we talking whole eggs or yolks?. I eat egg whites very often, usually mixed with sharp cheeses and greens or avocado. I'll typically only include one yolk with my whites though because anymore than one yolk per day really destroys my stomach. Hell, even too many egg whites in one day can easily bloat me to the max if they were my only source of protein. How many eggs do you people typically consume in a day?

It’s always confused me because I always thought most gas is due to fermentation of carbohydrate, but something about eggs seems to do it too. And it’s just insult to injury that gas from egg whites is basically the most acrid thing imaginable.

Eggs won’t make you gassy on their own unless you have an intolerance to them and lack the enzyme to digest them properly

If you eat them with food that cause gas, the sulfuric acid in eggs can make your gas more stinky

I generally do egg whites but often I boil the egg and use the yolk for the dogs and cats or as a spread on English muffins mixed with hummus. If hiking or with the hubby he’ll eat the yolks

Each day I’ll post 10 foods and for the sake of this weeks competition, you can pick up to 5. This is based off this thread I posted last week, “if you only had 5 foods to live off”, which would they be? For the foods it must be somewhat narrowed down. Don’t say whole groups of food like “meat”, “vegetables”, “fruit” also whole meals won’t count like “steak with salad”. If you want to put something like pasta, it would be just pasta noodles not chicken Alfredo. The idea is Whole Foods. The competition will start Monday morning pacific time.

Oh and you can include, juice or milk or whey protein but not a crazy smoothie with a million things jammed into it
