How will you remember Conor Mcgregor?

He beat a declining Aldo and Eddie who was one of the weakest lightweight champions in UFC history. We saw what happens to him when he faces Elite level competition like Khabib. He also lost to Nate who's nowhere near a great and won a totally BULLCHIT stoppage against Chad Mendes with like 4 seconds left. He's a good fighter but, highly overrated and definitely not in the discussion for GOAT.

Yea the Khabib loss is an interesting one, tbh I wasn't shocked when Conor lost that fight nor that disappointed given he has no wrestling credentials. He put up a good fight, started off with nice pressure on Khabib, landed a counter knee to his takedown in round one but once Khabib gets a hold, it's pretty much a wrap.

People always mention that flash ko against Aldo was lucky, and that Aldo was past his prime then in 2015, but Aldo is still fighting nowadays and looks in champion form.

Beat Chad Mendes on a week notice. Pretty much rolls over in his sleep and says "they'll are the same." Love that mentality.

Held two simultaneous belts and made Alvarez look like a complete amateur.

Goes up to 170 on 11 days notice against Nate Diaz who is known for his cardio.

It's hard not to deny Conor's accomplishments, it's funny because he is the stand up striker theme which is the most exciting style of fighting but people hate on him because he is also a legit trash talker

I see a Bruce Lee-like fencer-like incredible striker who judges distance and timing really incredibly. Crazy precision and intelligence. Very tough guy with a great chin too. I will remember him as a great Martial Artist, top fighter, and smart mofo who made tons of money using his skills and his big mouth and bad attitude which also gets him in trouble too much.

Conor Mcgregor is a very polarizing and controversial figure in mixed martial arts.
Most people will agree he is a terrible role model and bad ambassador for the sport, assaulting elderly people, sexual assault allegations, smashing fans phones, shoving Bellator referees, Islamophobic remarks, offensive trash talking, throwing metal dollies at buses, arrogance etc. He is probably the complete opposite of humble respectful guys like GSP and Robert Whitaker, which is why people crap on him 100x more when he loses.

Now, how will you remember him as a fighter? What is his legacy in your eyes?

-Will you remember him for knocking out Jose aldo (unbeaten for 10 years) in record breaking time?
-Will you remember him as the first ever simultaneous double champion?
-Will you remember him for his trilogy with Nate?
-Will you remember him for getting his ass whooped in front of the whole world by Khabib and tapping multiple times?
-Or will you not give a single crap about him?

I personally think he will be remembered for getting his ass kicked by Khabib. It had 2.5 million PPV buys, which is over twice the amount of people who watched him beat aldo. He should have stayed retired after beating Eddie. He would have went down as a legend and retire as a winner. He might be richer but the Khabib fight really ruined his stock and tough guy image.

I will always remember him as the great white hope, the fight he had with Floyd and how good he was, but he ruined it all by being cocky, pride comes before the fall, it's basically a curse, it's similar to karma, there are forces in this world that we don't know and we don't understand, but certain laws do exist. If he was humble he would still be champ rn and retire undefeated

He is the type of fighter you remember more for life outside of the cage than inside, a personality like none other. I could see dude getting movie roles in the future and being featured on a lot of shows. Someone we will talk about for decades to come whose antics will be imitated in movies and will have characters spawn from him. Got his ass kicked by Khabib but a once in a lifetime sports personality.

When he beat, Holloway and Poirier we thought they were nobodies that the UFC just put infront of him to pump him up. It was only after Holloway and Poirier became champs that we realized Connor just made them look like nobodies.

His dismantling of Alvarez will go down as 1 of the best performances of all time.

He even went back up to 170 to rematch with Nate Diaz at his own weight class.

Connor is undoubtedly 1 of the best ever.

His performance vs Mayweather was also better than most of the fights on Mayweather's record. Even if Mayweather was coasting in the earlier rounds.
