    How come nobody uses 5x5

I've always wondered why nobody (after the newbie stage) uses 5x5 on Bench. I always see people say that there are "much better" programs out there. Although I do think you should modify 5x5 a little bit, I don't understand why it seems like it's looked down upon like it's only for newbies.

It's a rep scheme not a program lol.

And I've used 5 sets of 5.. There's nothing special or different about it to.. 5 sets of 4, 6 sets of 3.. 6 sets of 6...

Madcow intermediate and Madcow advanced are highly regarded 5x5 programs.

Simple answer is that training has evolved to include new methods that are more effective for some people. If 5x5 is your only choice and you get stuck on it, what do you do? Stay stuck, or develop new training methods.
