It’s great to see that even in a dead forum a Bcaa thread has a little room to fly.
For my points, the guy who said 5g of leucine is better for MPS than 5g bcaa is accurate. Next, for bcaas to have the enzymatic environment to be useful Intra workout, you need a few conditions. One, glycogen storage low and ample amounts of taurine and glutamine otherwise it can’t properly be used as an energy substrate.
Which is not what almost 99% if bcaa users are meeting.Your nutrition and workout program determines your success.

Wouldn't the 5g of leucine run into the same problems as BCAAs where it can trigger MPS but without the other AAs, there isn't anything there for the actual reaction to happen. I've always looked at it like a chemistry equation where AA(substrate)+ BCAA(catalyst)= MPS reaction. I haven't taken a chem course in awhile so apologies if I'm way off lol. You can have AAs but without adequate BCAA(especially leucine) there's no reaction and vice versa?

You would have to be fasting for a substantial amount of time for the other amino acids to not be present. Total protein turnover whether through synthesis or degradation is always occurring. You can influence either way of course through amino uptake(eating) or fasting(degradation) and even disease etc. There is almost always enough circulation of proteins ie amino acids to not need the other two to rise MPS. Leucine alone can do this and seems to be better at it individually. Of course, getting in all aminos through eating or a whey, even enough of all nine essentials is the best route.

"Blah, blah, blah"
Complete retardation.
And I responded in that artile's comments years ago. A lot of what she wrote was typical BB.com "article" garbage pushing supps. But hey, sure, they'd totally publish stuff saying, "Don't buy supps gaiz."
As always your placebo edge is powerful and your hypocrisy of, "I like science when the confirmation bias is present, but not otherwise," is trash too.
And more lulz.
Dat redundancy on top of redundancy making it matter"I'm pretty sure your wrong, but care to elaborate..."

Is a combination of BCAAs and EAAs overkill? I believe it is. BCAAs are instantly available for use where as EAAs are not. We get enough EAAs through our diet and let's face it, taking them with a BCAA has no benefit pre or intra workout.
BCAAs intra and a protein shake post-workout outweighs any BCAA/EAA cocktail.alienshave.com - Shave Smarter

You just linked to what i were saying:
1) While you can definitely get enough of these aminos if you eat adequate servings of protein foods
2) These compounds, especially leucine, help regulate protein metabolism by promoting protein synthesis and suppressing protein breakdown
——
While you can definitely get enough of these aminos if you eat adequate servings of protein foods, getting them from a drink has its advantages. For example, pure BCAAs bypass the liver and gut and go directly into your bloodstream.
Although it's important for everyone to get enough BCAAs, they're particularly important for people with muscle-building or muscle-maintenance goals. These compounds, especially leucine, help regulate protein metabolism by promoting protein synthesis and suppressing protein breakdown.*
