Case study: lib hysteria
Lib comment and article premise ITT- they are suddenly taking postal boxes away to skew the election
Yep - it’s a suddenly thought of deceitful act by the evil Republicans.
They have suddenly sent trucks in to sweep them away.
Meanwhile all the way be to 2016 article.
Where Have All the Collection Boxes Gone?
Mail collection boxes are practically as American as apple pie. They also seem to be disappearing as quickly as mom’s homemade apple pie.
Nationally, the number of collection boxes declined by more than 12,000 in the past 5 years. Some customers have complained the U.S. Postal Service has gone too far and removed too many collection boxes in neighborhoods. They’ve also questioned whether this effort is saving USPS money in the long run.
It’s a tough balancing act for the Postal Service. Some collection boxes are barely used and are expensive to maintain. On the other hand, mail collection boxes are a visible representation of the Postal Service to the American public, and their disappearance has been noted. They also are reliable, secure, and convenient receptacles for mail.
As part of its efforts to keep its collection infrastructure proportionate to customers’ needs at a reasonable cost, the Postal Service has eliminated underused collection boxes that on average receive fewer than 25 pieces a day; it has also added collection boxes where they are convenient for customers.
Our recent audit report looked at the Postal Service’s collection box removal process in the Eastern Area and found that it was not effective. While the area and its 10 districts have procedures for removing and relocating collection boxes, they were not consistently followed.
We recommended management require each district to periodically evaluate whether to relocate or remove underused collection boxes included in the annual density test that determines the average volume of mail collected. We also recommended the Postal Service maintain supporting documentation on its removal and relocation decisions, and establish a process to monitor out-of-service collection boxes.

Now that Fauci said there's no problem voting in person, will mail in votes still be an issue?

Currently waiting on a package from USPS. It sat in limbo for a few days, finally go shipped off, made it to my local PO, then got routed to the next state over an hour away where it will probably sit all weekend before being sent back off monday.
But I'm supposed to forget everything and trust them to handle my ballot. Lib logic.

Hole lee crap this was worse than I thought.
If you thought the 2016 article of postal boxes was bad enough, here is one from 2015 also.
Obama was obviously trying to steal the 2016 election.....
There’s no way this was actually just a normal modernizing process

Yet he doesn’t mind Florida having mail in voting and he’s all for absentee ballots...
He came out and admitted live that he’s purposefully impacting the postal service in a negative way to limit mail in voting.
What Dejoy is doing needs to be done over a 3-5 year span. He came in swinging within the first month of his arrival. He even admitted his plan had some unforeseen detriments in his stand up talk to us today. Unforeseen my ass.

This happened not far from my area a few weeks ago - basically employees quarantined for possible covid so no staff.

And the unions leaders are at work brainwashing postal employees to buy into this BS as well
Postal carriers union endorses Biden, warns that 'survival' of USPS is at stake
WASHINGTON — Joe Biden gained the presidential endorsement of the National Association of Letter Carriers on Friday, a union that boasts nearly 300,000 active and retired postal workers.
"Vice President Biden is — was — and will continue to be — a fierce ally and defender of the United States Postal Service (USPS), letter carriers, and our fellow postal brothers and sisters," NALC president Fredric Rolando said in a statement that also praised Democratic vice presidential pick Kamala Harris.

Hmm....
I’m game for doing a “follow the money” investigation.
I will be doing that from every aspect though, and multiple groups.
I can do a little this weekend, but I can’t really get deep enough until Monday morning at nine.
Union money
Political activist investor money
Super pac money
Leader money
Etc
Sure I’ll look into it.
They reminds me - I gotta finish updating this before it gets too stale.

One thing I'll ad about the "slow things down" mantra....
No I can't speak fully to the details of the USPS on this (yet), but when I hear that I can't help but think about what I have going on in day to day businesses.
I can't imagine it's much different for the USPS , or anyone else up and running right now.
Now I have my main gig (my job) and my side gig's.
In my main gig at the beginning of covid we shut over 750 stores and went down to almost 70% bellow pre-covid revenue as a system at one point.
We've emerged back to only 20 or so stores left closed (some taking the opportunity to remodel.) We were able to do the re-opens much sooner than anticipated, and now working on getting them back to full operaing hours.
We are near 90% pre-covid revenue as a system now- and in my market my stores are over 100%(some well over 100%)
But we have about 60% of the staff back. On good days. We are operating skeleton crews- and its tough- stressful
And any given day we have someone with symptoms, or a positive test, we are having to quarantine more- possible temp shut downs, and reducing available services.
There is so much consumer demand right now- we are able to do as much revenue as we can possible staff for. If I was able to staff 100% pre-covid we prob would be up over 50% in revenue easy- and in pockets we have gotten lucky in staffing its just that.
Our biggest problem is the people out on high paid unemployment.
So the new line I'm charged with preaching daily is "slow down"
slow down, reduce services, reduce number of customers allowed, etc
Slow down to what you can safely handle. And if you can't safely do it close until you are staffed to where you can.
As much business we could do, its not worth the cost of not doing it safely.
My guess is it's much the same for the postal service (as almost anyone open and running) this is why you see a decline in quality of service in many places, as well as longer waits.
As far as the investments of that gentlemen goes - I'm speculating here (i'll research further)- but my guess is it's the same many people do- especially now.
Invest in what you know.
He knows this sector.
And the opportunity for anyone that last few months to make money on investments has been tremendous- especially if you know what you are doing with options. Many people are working to make up their losses as well.
Just some random thoughts.Last edited by gachase21; 08-15-2020 at 05:16 AM.

20% of mail in ballet were thrown out through no fault of the voter IN THE PRIMARY.

Great post. I only brought up his investments because they can lead to a conflict of interest seeing as both ups and amazon are rival companies and xpo actually does logistic work for the postal service.
Your story about your jobs is a similar one here. People are out, parcel volume is still high, and people are frustrated. The issue with a lot of postal employees is their unwillingness to accept change. Most of these employees are senior folks who won’t really be affected too much anyway. What Dejoy wants to implement will be a net positive 5-10 years down the road. I believe the massive change so quickly into his arrival plus the coincidence with the election in a few months has gotten people’s attention. I loathe that USPS is being politicized.
You are also correct with your assessment about the machines. We were told we were getting two more parcel sorting machines within the next year to handle the increase in volume. They’ve removed several letter sorting machines at my facility to make room. Thing is, most facilities simply aren’t setup for optimum parcel processing. A complete revamp will need to take place.

Do you actually believe Trump thinks mail-in ballots are fraudulent? He got his mail in today, he constantly raves about absentee ballots and 25% of US already vote by mail.
He said three million illegal voters selected Hilary without a shred of evidence in an election he won. He blurts out whatever he thinks will benefit him, and he knows mail-in will hurt his chances because he has said it publicly.
We've already seen him throw out paranoid claims about voter fraud that the evidence just does not support, and now this. My July prediction was on the money. In the coming months I anticipate he will get ever more reckless and desperate.
Furthermore, someone else said there will be real consequences for people not being able to get their bills and other essential mail in a timely manner. Like I've said before many times, Trump just does not think through the ramifications or long-term consequences of his decisions, they're not based on any appreciable foresight, nor is there real evidence of any abstract thinking or reflection; he just acts.Last edited by Bodhy; 08-14-2020 at 10:49 PM.

There is a difference between proving who you are and requesting a ballet and receiving an unsolicited mail in ballet.
Not only that the Dems were delaying the second stimulus by requiring the removal of Signature Verification, Universal Main in Votes, and Removal of Voter ID laws...
Beside voter fraud can you think of ANY reason you want to make all of those happen?Finance Degree - USAF INTEL - IIFYM - Injured Crew - KTM XCW300 - Single Track Trail Rider - NRA Supporter - Shunned from MFC - Libertarian - Pragmatist
