I pay like 65$ a month for doggy health insurance. It covers a ridiculous amount of stuff tbh.
A bill that was going to be about 3 grand was 120$ cause I had it, when my dog got sick from eating ibuprofen that had fallen on the ground. Check ups and all standard shots are free, and flea med is cheap af too.
I know most vets don't offer any type of insurance like that tho.

I have it, have had it since my pup was about 6 months old.
Depends on the company. some pay for basic **** like nail trims, flea/heartworm, 1 dental cleaning a year, etc etc.
I went with Healthy Paws. They don't cover preventative care (like mentioned above) but for a $100 deductible, they cover 90% of the fees and are pretty prompt about getting the money back to you in a timely fashion. You just have to front the bill yourself at first, then they cut you a check after you send them the invoice.
Started out costing about $40/month, 5 years later and it costs about $130/month as of February. This is for an APBT, so it can be cheaper or more expensive depending on the breed. I've used it on multiple occasions, kennel cough, lots of ear infections, and a couple mild injuries. Worth the cost in my opinion, but that's case by case basis."So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."

Good Job, OP. Been there, done that for mine at about the same price. I also had him in physical therapy before and after so that added about $800. My dog was about 5 when it happened to him.
Yeah, I'm old, been here for years before posting. Son posts as well.
