What happened to call of duty multiplayer?

The last game I played was WW2 and I regret buying it it was so freaking weird nobody talked in game, there were no reactions from the other person when you killed them and they watched their own killcam, no trash talking in lobbies, and the end of game killcam was always a recording of yourself??

The last game before that was either BO2 or BO1 and it was like night/day difference people actually joked around and communicated in game, people blasted music, people shouted when they died you could hear parents yelling at their kids, it was funny lol

BRB chit talking with other kids, everyone drong Fuk bombs and N words around, brb almost 1.5 million players online at every moment and you cant "mute" or go into a party chat so u have to take the screams

Yeah I miss it too I was 14-17 last time I played I'm researching now and people are saying they mute everyone when they play and they don't like hearing other people and I'm like "WTF...?"

I'm kind of shy but I still want to hear people talking, shouting, swearing, beating their kid (JK), anything is better than silence

I played MW2 on PC so it wasn't the same and it had a lot of hackers but I've read other people say that was like the peak but I still had fun playing BO2, I got the 10,000 headshot emblem with the dragunov lol

My theory is "abuse reporting" is what killed games like people would report you for anything and it was worse than living in Soviet Russia or being in a Church. I don't know what the hell is going on and why "abuse reporting" is a thing when you're sitting on your couch how is someone abusing you it's not like they're beating you up in your own home I don't get it.. RIP multiplayer games I guess

LMAO, I literally just posted about this 2 minutes ago in a different thread.

I use my built in laptop mike, don't really do a lot of teamchat in games. For the last year I've played Call of Duty, where voice chat is only good for telling someone else in the lobby that you phucked their mom last night, and in Overwatch I dropped competitive mode like a bad habit. Way too toxic.

MW2 back in the day was some crazy chit though. Press play for a nostalgia trip.

LOL. Had a pretty good lobby earlier today playing some moshpit and got a laugh thinking back to how brutal it used to be. Half the people dont even have mics it seems like. Also, match making on modern warfare doesnt keep the same people in the lobbys. I remember running games back 10 times ripping a whole clan on the other team. Now it seems like it breaks the lobby up after every game. Only funny thing now is the 3 seconds of audio you get after you kill a guy lol. Some legit raging.

u can still get trash talking in like 1/10 games in MW
