The stock-market is a predictor of FUTURE GROWTH. From 2015-Nov 2016 the stockmarket was stagnant UNTIL Trump won the election. For 2 years we had a horizontal dow jones. After Trumps victory, the stockmarket went parabolic and we had the "Trump bump." The fact that Im a fireman and I understand the stockmarket better than you do is quite sad.

The nasdaq has doubled its value since Trump won, and the S&P 500 has added a third more to its value. Thanks Trump.

Yes and no. The stockmarket is a predictor of future expectations. 2021 is expected to see an economic boom to compensate for 2020. Goldman Sachs has predicted this. What you are seeing is buying in on future expectations. So in that sense, the stockmarket does not represent the CURRENT environment. Tho it sold off earlier this year because of the current environment being the "new normal."
