How do people watch RAW?

Background: I gotta admit I almost never watch modern wrestling and when I do it's NXT or occasionally the NWA show before the whole covid outbreak. I'd watched clips from RAW or SD over the past few years if I read anything noteworthy happened, and I occasionally watched PPVs up until a few months back, but that's it.

I was channel surfing and saw RAW tonight and gave it like five minutes (caught it at around 10:00) and couldn't watch. It was Asuka vs Bayley... two pretty good wrestlers, but the presentation was AWFUL! The ads during Bayley's entrace literally took up the entire screen, and then when they started wrestling the constant camera cuts legit almost made me nauseous and made the match impossible to get into and was unwatchable.

Are the camera cuts a new thing? Maybe I just never noticed it before but I dont think they shoot NXT that way, thank God. It's bad enough their booking and storylines are weak at best and unwatchable at worst, but even just the 5-10 minutes that I watched, it looked like a schizophrenic with ADD was producing and directing it. Horrible. I feel like they're trying (unsuccessfully) to shoot it like an action movie and not like a legit sporting event and it just didn't work for me and took me completely out of it. How the hell can people sit through three hours of this stuff?

Yeah I remember watching this as it happened. I always thought he had a tough time getting his jacket off as he was coming down the ramp so they took the camera off him but it wouldn't surprise me if they just cut to the crowd for the hell of it.

Kevin Dunn is the main reason there are all those cuts. They usually do it on impact moves to make them seem bigger. It sucks though.

I've watched some of it. A mixed bag to me, some of it is very good and parts of it are just too over the top for me. Overall not bad but I mainly watch it for MJF, lol.

I seriously do wish huge live crowds returned i am jonesing For a live show to go to. I never realized how much I would with how annoying the Mark chants have become and all. Some moments have deserved fans in the crowd: remember Otis first Wm moment that deserved a pop from 75 thousand screaming fans? The kiss would have been pop of the night.

I’m not comparing the two but it’s like imagine hulk hogan body slamming Andre the Giant At wm in an empty arena!

The "Stone Cold special" they did a few months back was embarrassing and that's the last time I saw a somewhat full show. The constant grunting, groaning, screaming, and cheesy smack talk during the COVID matches really turns me off.

I read the results and watch YouTube clips... i know enough to know that it simply isn't very good, and wasn't great even before the covid outbreak.

They have the most insanely stacked roster probably in wrestling history (probably too many guys TBH) and the show is still sub par because their creative and the style of show they're doing just isn't cutting it. I watched religiously when wrestling was HUGE and made money because of how good it was and not in spite of it. I've watched wrestling for 30 years and know what I like and don't like, so yeah, I can write a diary of complaints when it's ten minutes of over produced garbage.

And that was WRESTLING.. Id hang myself if I had to watch skits of the Viking Raiders and Street Profits going bowling or something. They've KILLED the Viking Raiders since their main roster debut... let's make them real Vikings... Erik and Ivar... the VIKING EXPERIENCE!! that'll work!! LOL!

Less people are watching wrestling now than maybe they ever have... read the reviews.... WWE's stuff just isn't very good right now. NXT isn't bad but even it's suffered because all their guys get called up, most of them before creative even knows what to do with them.

I have a rough idea of the storylines but who could keep up... no programs really last longer than a month or two. If you like it that's great, good for you, but RAW or SD haven't been "must watch" shows for me in years. The general interest is down.. even this forum is dead compared to what it used to be.
