Hey Mark, a 4 lb bass is pretty cool especially for the first one of the season. Sounds like you guys had fun. Our bass spawn is a few months away and the season doesn't open until near the end of June. Damn, getting your head ripped off by a shark is harsh.
The Derby was a rough one, you could only register 2 fish, I caught 4 in total, nothing big and the fishing was very tough, I weighed out early around noon with a couple of fish that I thought would get me into the prizes. To my surprise they actually held up until the end which gave me 1st and 2nd place so I took home well over a grand worth of prizes which included.
8 inch battery operated ice auger
Garmin Striker 4 portable ice fish finder bundle
Ice Chisel
Folding chair
Sled
2 Ice fishing Rods
Couple of spools of braided ice fishing line
Some plastic baits
Not too shabby for 4 hours of fishing.
Howdy Kaz, Nice to see you, even if you did bring spiders lol. I hope all is well your way..

Greggo, what the hell is that? lol
MT, mighty proud of your fishing prowess. No matter what you caught, you out-fished everyone. Those prizes are awesome. That ice auger is very cool. I hope it is as good or better than the one you have. Nice work.
Ok, Bosko, where are you? I hope you are ok and didn't get a relapse or anything too serious.
Happy Monday everybody. Raining here all week, well through Thursday and pretty cold for here in the 30s.

Not sure how interesting this will be, but here is my covid experience.
Overall it was like a mild case of the "crud". Although I didn't check it, I must have had a high temperature because I couldn't get warm for the first 2 days. I set the heat pump at 75 f and stayed under 2 blankets. Crazy chills like I have never experienced before.
Typical body aches, ear, eye pain lasted 1 1/2 days. A couple of doses of Tylenol took care of it.
After the first 2 days, my nose ran like a waterfall for 2 1/2 days. Still felt blah, but the runny nose was my only remaining symptom at this point.
I was fully expecting to have a nagging cough for 2 weeks, but it never moved into my chest/lungs. 4 1/2 days and my covid symptoms were gone.
Update on my stepmom:
We finally got her home from the rehab hospital. 2 days later she fell and hit her head on the floor. Now she is in ICU again, but we expect to have her home in a couple more days.[]---[] Equipment crew member #51 []---[]

It is very interesting to me, I like hearing about how others went through this, more so since I just went through it..
It's remarkable how your symptoms were almost an exact mirror of mine. The nose running thing was freaky.
Sorry to hear about your stepmom, dang that's some bad luck right there. Hope she gets home soon and heals fast.

Happy Cold Tuesday everybody. Rain through Thursday. Might see some freezing rain. In the 30s all week.
Bosko, hope you are digging out and the power is on. Careful.
MT thrives in -75, so no problem
My lake cabin is not insulated that well for cold, so I have to use several heating units. Been through much worse.
