Good morning MT. Man, the fish down here shut down in the Winter. I could catch catfish but I don’t like eating them. Bass and Crappie are great. Late February and March will be good.

Well you won't have to wait much longer and you will be ripping lips, this month is almost shot now. My ice fishing season came to a sudden crashing halt lol Last Saturday I dislocated my shoulder and messed up the insides a bit in a skiing accident, the doctor said I can't be doing any strenuous movements with it for a couple of months. It feels pretty good but I will heed his advice and not use the auger so that I can be ready for ice out spring fishing lol

hahaha, I would be released a long time before Chaz. mine is no big deal, Chaz really did a number on his the poor bass turd.

So the other day I had to drive about 3 hours and on my way back, I stopped by a hole in the wall hamburger joint. The town is very old and very rural. No fast food restaurants except for a mini Subway. I go there once a month. It has been there for years.

One room with about enough room to sit 10 people. Looks like a blind person painted the outside and inside. Floors never mopped. The furniture looks they got it at a garage sale for free.

The conversation I overheard was Roxxy asking a regular if he smelled smoke when he came in. Roxxy said that they smelled it and that they were getting calls from people wondering if we got blowed up. That’s how rural it is.

Very nice ladies run it, most in their late 60s. If you don’t call ahead with a phone order, the one never-busy waitress Roxxy gets a little impatient that she has to write down an order. Their beef patties are half pound and fresh beef. I ordered a single mustard burger with all the vegetables, no mayo. Add large fries.

After 16 minutes of waiting I got my order to go. The burger and fries price was $11.75. Yes a little expensive.

Was it worth it? Yes. Despite the one room house and kitchen turned into a restaurant that could be mistaken for a meth lab driving by, they get the hamburgers just right.
