Over 80,000 mail-in ballots disqualified in NYC primary mess

Over 80,000 mail-in ballots disqualified in NYC primary mess

1 out of 4 mail-in ballots were disqualified for arriving late, lacking a postmark or other defects.

The mail-in ballots of more than 84,000 New York City Democrats who sought to vote in the presidential primary were disqualified, according to new figures released by the Board of Elections.

The city BOE received 403,103 mail-in ballots for the June 23 Democratic presidential primary.

But the certified results released Wednesday revealed that only 318,995 mail-in ballots were counted.

That means 84,108 ballots were not counted or invalidated — 21 percent of the total.

One out of four mail-in ballots were disqualified for arriving late, lacking a postmark or failing to include a voter’s signature, or other defects. The New York Post reported Tuesday that roughly 30,000 mail-in ballots were invalidated in Brooklyn alone.....

This is why the dems want mail-in voting, because it is a cluster-fuk. Think about NY State X 50.

A large-scale, successful corruption of the election process is one of the many big existential threats to the country and our constitutional form of government.

For many reasons with mass mail-in voting the election is easy to mass cheat and will not be a legitimate election result. If mass mail-in voting is used then I will not respect or accept the results.

Even with absentee voting the qualifications need to keep kept very strict and limited and must be wholly verified. You can't have anywhere near that level of voter verification (or hardly any at all) with mail-in voting.

The party that has been crying about election interference for 4 years straight want to introduce a voting system with a 20% error rate. Seems legit.

They want the election to be a culsterfuk so they can first attempt to fraud their way into the white house, and second de legitimize Trump for another 4 years if the first option doesn't work.

I am absolutely voting in person. A big problem with mail in voting is that there is no way to verify your vote was cast. You just drop it in the mailbox and hope it didn't get lost/thrown out for some reason. This election is far too important to take any chances.

If he doesn’t allow mail in voting I’m betting big on trump. Hopefully the line is still decent by then

They are already conditioning people to accept the fukery they will be pulling come election night.

The only thing we can do is make sure we go vote and hope enough people are not infected with TDS to make this win a landslide so they can’t hope to steal it.

Hardly. There are a ton of trump supporters. There are quite a few in just my 12 man section. The building? A lot more. Go on a postal forum and check their r&p threads. It’s very similar to the misc. The unions don’t speak for everyone although they’re backing Biden.

The only reason trump is ok with mail in voting in Florida because it’s beneficial to his re-election. This is no different than the dems pushing for mail in voting in other states.

Regardless of political affiliation, if you’re a postal worker, you should be pissed. What’s going on inside plants and offices right now is nothing short of eye opening and it’s what the Trump appointee PMG wants.

Just an example and I’ll leave it be. We have machines that run letters. Letter volume has dropped precipitously over the last decade and they’ve slowly but surely started removing machines. Facilities all over the country have been mandated to remove more of these machines to match expected volume. The issue that’s going to arise is the uptick in letter for the election season and the lack of machines to process the mail. Combine this with the mandate from the PMG to eliminate OT and we all see where this can lead to come November.

OP is blowing this WAY out of proportion. 80,000 votes is not a big deal. Millions vote in presidential elections.
Mail in balloting is 100% safe.
Nobody should worry that the Postal Union officially endorsed one of the presidential candidates. There will be absolutely 0 corruption with regard to how they handle our election process.
If you show concern over mail in balloting, then you are obviously a cultist trumper already making excuses for why he will lose.

By your logic, if it’s beneficial for democrats to have mail in voting compared to conservatives, wouldn’t postal workers make sure to process every claim( claims they can’t physically see in btw) seeing as the odds will favor Biden?

They said that on CNN as well. They are talking about having to re-work their "election night" coverage to expand it out over a series of special events because there's no way a winner could be declared on election night.

You saying that you would have no problem with the RNC handling all mail in ballots nation wide? You wouldn't see this as a conflict of interests? I would, and I'm a republican.

There are any number of ways corrupt mail carriers could sway elections. Consider the fact that many states come down to a handful of districts. Votes from red areas could suddenly become "lost" or "arrive late". You could wake me up from a drunken stupor and I could still name half-dozen scenarios.

How would a carrier know which ballot is republican or Democrat? Do you know how political mail is treated internally? It’s the only time of year I actually see higher ups in my building. People are on the floor constantly looking and checking to make sure every piece is ran. The machines that run the ballots run at 30-35k an hour. There’s no way there are enough people who are that politically partisan that they would open and discard ballots. That’s one of the only ways to get fired from the PO. There will be mail arriving late if machines keep getting removed and the elimination of OT(regardless of mail volume) persist. It’s going be very interesting inside the postal service these next few months.

The left wants the election results to be dragged out over weeks so that they can get their lawyers involved and challenge the results. Mass mail in voting is already proven to be a monumental cluster**** all over the country. Tens of thousands of ballots are being disqualified as we speak in several states. Now multiply that over 50 states. Democrats expect to lose. They expect to cheat, and they expect to use their lawyers if and when the cheating is exposed. Theyll hide behind the "disenfranchising voters" by throwing away illegal votes. They'll double down on Trump being an illegitimate president. Its clear that if Trump wins again, they will look to get more violent and estranged.
