Drove from CA to CO through Vegas and Utah.
1) The US is a beautiful country. We're so lucky to live in this gorgeous, abundant land. The history of the landscapes is amazing and to be alive at this time, we're truly the luckiest of humans. Get out and do some camping and see this place!
2) Drivers. People from Arkansas drive like sh!t. There must be a lot of Californians in Texas, because a lot of people from Texas drive as fast as most Californians. Women drive like sh!t - fast then slow, then fast then slow. Figure it out ladies! Mexican (and some Asian) men have too much pride to drive in the right lane. Even though people are passing them on the right.
Edit: Adding my own pics.
Toughest hike I've ever done.

Mirin'
Texas is the home of reckless driving boyo, skinny sky-high roadways with people doing 95mph bumper-to-bumper

Highly recommend a cross country train ride. Took one from So Cal to Chicago going through the southwest. Then took another route back through the Rockies and Sierra Nevadas into San Francisco. Amazing sights to see.

I used to take upwards of 10 international trips per year pre covid. I stopped travelling completely for a little while but am using the time until other countries let us in to check out parts of the US that I likely wouldn't have checked out otherwise. I'm off to Cincinnati in a few days to knock off 3 states from my goal to hit all 50. Not sure where I'll go from there. Maybe one of the lesser populated beach cities.
Might as well use this time to see my own country. Things are a bit weird but it's not the end of the world grabbing some pizza and beer to go for the hotel instead of eating there.
