Are they being fed by throwing meat into the water? (I would want to get in gently so they dont get active from patterns formed being fed by stuff thrown in there at them)

Despite their scary reputation, sharks rarely ever attack humans and would much rather feed on fish and marine mammals. I mean they let kids swim with sharks at that Florida water park typhoon lagoon, it was kinda neat. We just put on the snorkle and gently glide across the surface while looking down. Now they weren't great whites and were probably well fed but yeah.

Coming from a family with naval background, one way to trick sharks is to make yourself appear bigger than you really are.
Solution: attach a long piece of cloth to your shoulders and swim across. The sharks will take time to encircle you to guage your size, and by then hopefully you would have reached the end of the 50m pool.
