yea. if this was wwe booking, the elite would've overcome and your biggest heel stable would end up looking like chit. elite isnt hurt. it furthers the storyline. why did hangman need to go to the back with ftr etc. quality booking imo.
side note- is it just me or does it feel like when aubrey edwards is reffing a match, shes trying to get herself over the whole time?

Wrestling often straddles than line between entertaining and stupidity, that last debate segment being a prime example. Me? I loved it but I also can hardly wait to hear Jim Cornette have a stroke screaming about it

i just worry that adding this depth to the OC character might kill him. he did cut a quality promo and he's obviously charismatic. we will see. probably gonna be one of the most over guys when the crowds do come back though.
that snarky comment mjf made earlier about wrestling darby allin for the title if he wins.....wonder if he's gonna cost mox the title tonight....or try.

Arn is managing Cody, doing kind of a 'coach' gimmick with it, complete with whispering behind his notes and stuff. He's in a face role, often the voice of reason to Cody, he doesn't cheat or get directly involved and such.

Ok, so it's the night after and settled in -- I really liked last night's show. It had a hint of the chaos and crazy factor from some of the earlier shows I really liked that more recently it just hasn't quite gone full in with.
That Sammy/Hardy bloody brawl was out of nowhere with that awesome table spot, Trent's moms car being demolished, the wacky yet 'it worked' debate with OC/Jericho and a really solid main event. Throw in some good segments with Britt Baker, MJF and a good opening match (surprisingly), it was just a great show.
The only thing that didn't work for me was the tag match with Cody and not-Zack Ryder. I don't know why they had to go utterly evenly with complete jobbers, as much as I complained about WWE burying midcarers, this is a shift just too much in the other direction. Silvers and the other guy will never be anything but lower card scrubs, will and should lose every match they'll ever be in, there was no reason to take Cody to the limit with these guys, they could have told this story with the Butcher and Blade or something and it would have worked and might have even elevated B&B in the loss. You could have had Cody struggle and Cardona shine just like they did here, to tell whatever story they're working on there if any, and it would have worked better against two actual threats and not clear-as-day jobbers.
The opening 12-man was not nearly as ridiculous as it was expected to be and they told a lot of stories woven into it plus gave Brody Lee and his boys a shot in the arm without hurting the Elite. I really think Adam Page will be the breakout guy of this company at some point when he's ready to work in 'big' matches. Maybe working with Omega and maybe then Jericho will get him ready there.
Great show, gotta give it a solid "A" rating. Nothing was awful and made me hate myself ala Marco Stunt. Some of the DO guys have job-squad written all over them, but that's kind of their schtick. The only thing I didn't like was the Cody tag match and it was just unpleasant, not painfully awful. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I actually thought Cody and Cardona vs The Dark Order was better than the Best Friends and Santana and Ortiz. Reynolds and Silver were really smooth with their double team work.
The Butcher and the Blade are jobbers too. I think the only match they’ve won on Dynamite was when they tagged with MJF.
Anyway, I thought it was a solid show. I really hope crowds come back sometime this year though. Wrestling isn’t the same in mostly empty arenas with other wrestlers in the crowd.

The Dark Order needed that win. It was well coreographed and good pace. The promo spots for the show were good. Dynamite did a good job and didn't seem stagnate or out of place in any spot. The Cody and Cardona match was really good in my opinion. OC and MJF are fantastic on the mic.

Watched about 60% of it since I skipped the Cody match (I'll watch his PPV stuff, but his tv matches are terrible overbooked tripe at this point), skipped through the second Dark Order match. But the show is feeling like it was pre-COVID in terms of quality. The last month of shows has been fantastic after a long 'meh' period.
Jericho-OC feud = awesome
MJF = verging to be the GOAT of the new era.
Moxley-Darby good match
Best Friends-LAX should be a great feud, hopefully they continue it for a few more months. I like the Inner Circle a lot, but Santana and Ortiz are great and need their own feuds, would like for them to get Eddie Kingston to lead them and move on from the IC.
It's great Sammy is back, it's still too soon and they're great together, but I hope Sammy eventually breaks off from Jericho and they feud. Will probably be a few more feuds after OC, but it will be great and propel Sammy into the main event picture.
Hoping MJF wins the title off Moxley at All Out and makes wrestling great again. Not part of any crews crew

That could be interesting for a PPV or even Dynamite, although at some point I'd like to see a lot of those match ups just between the teams themselves (FTR vs Young Bucks obviously, but I'd also be interested in Brody/Cobana v Omega/Page or Omega/Page v FTR)
At some point you just got to think FTR will turn full heel and drop the act...All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Matt Hardy in 2020 does NOT need a title run. Lance Archer should have the TNT title over Cody though. Right now it's just a nothing belt since Cody's only opponents are indy guys looking for contracts, like cool so the outcome will always be Cody winning then, too predictable. This should be a mid-card title for other talent, but no just another WWE style belt, completely meaningless. Title should be for guys like Darby, Jungle Boy, Sammy G, Scropio Sky (who will obviously lose next week). But no.
