Second moment I have cried my bloody eyes out in this game.
Emotional fukking rollercoaster and one of the greatest JRPG’s of all time, for real.
If you are a fan of JRPG’s then you need to play this game now.

Don’t be daft! It remind you of the major story plot points in case you have forgotten where you were.
This game has hurt my heart with it’s darn emotional gut-wrenching story. Which I was not really expecting from a game where 99/100 characters are copy and pasted from DBZ (Bless you Toriyama).Gender Identity: Miscer pronouns: ****/****got

I think when you get involved in the story and characters a little further in the game
First few hours I wasn't feeling it either
Ah that's right; the game does that when you load! I'll try and pick it up again
The art style is what got me into this game as it reminded me of Dragonball lolLast edited by MadFury; 08-04-2020 at 03:11 PM.

The game was pretty good. I really don't like the over the top flamboyant stuff with Silvando. You literally March in a pride parade for like 15 minutes between towns, it was pretty awful to sit through.
I always thought the weird humor/creepy weibo stuff took away from these DQ games. If they took a serious tone like FFX or something I think it could be top notch despite the cartoony-ness.

I agree about the ******* sht. That was pretty much my only problem with the game. Other than that it was one of the best games I've played, definitely one of the best modern day RPGs. No DLC bs either, just a full on game like the good ole days. I ended up getting the platinum for it a while back. The cartoonish and humorous style works well for it though and fits the game very well. Although I definitely wasn't ready for the feels and serious parts either, the writing is top notch. FFX is my favourite game of all time.

I've been working with EPIC games and using their tech for over a decade, great company.
They are always looking out for smaller indie devs and were the first major commercial engine to allow anyone to use and profit.
Why would anyone hate them? Because they challenge the steam monopoly that also rips everyone off with a 30% revenue share, and went and made there own store that is dirt cheap on profit share?

haha I dunno man. I guess I'm not into less serious RPG's. Maybe not even that, but the game is just a roller coaster. The creepy old man and his "grimoire", the sexualized outfits you can get the girls, everything revolving around silvando, but then there's some pretty serious stuff that is pretty awesome but everything else is just so out of tune with the seriousness. Maybe I'm just all or nothing on the humor. I also have fond memories of DQ1/2/3 kinda being darkish. Saving the princess in the pitch black dungeon from the dragon from DQ1 was terrifying when I was a kid.
I bought dq8 when it first came out 16 years ago and this **** stays with me at how stupid/goofy/immersion breaking it is. First 1 minute with the VO of this dumb boss

I played this because I’ll play any turn based rpg, my favorite genre of all time. This game has 0 difficulty to it, you spam the same move from start to finish for pretty much the entire game. The story is the most generic bland garbage I’ve played recently besides the Tales series. You literally play as “The Chosen One/Hero” on a quest to beat “The Dark One” LMAO. Why is the Dark One out to destroy the world? No one knows but he’s the evil dark one and the hero must beat him. Literal 1st grade tier writing. Some side quests have their moments and theres a few funny moments that would trigger SJW cucks but overall it was a slug to push through since it takes 80 ish hours to beat the game without grinding. If you want turn based, games like Pillars of Eternity, Divinity Original Sin, and Valkyria Chronicles are much better

I love idiots like you that break games down to their most rudimentary baseline in the story and use that as a knock. And the compare this game to Pillars of Eternity or Divinity like those two games are ANYTHING remotely similar. DQ11 fans and DoS fans could be entirely different people as there is next to no overlap beyond "turn based" which is a loose description of the DoS combat.
