    17 y/o 3000 calories a day?

I just started doing ICF 5x5 and plan on eating 3000 calories on my 3 lifting days and 4 rest days. (train mon, wed, fri). Should I lower the calories on rest days? I have a pretty high metabolism.

No point in eating less on rest days, it is your total weekly calories that matter (very little protein synthesis happens on a day by day basis).

Without knowing your height, weight, bodyfat, lifting experience etc there is no way to tell whether that sounds about right or whether it sounds too much.

You're 17, your adult body hasn't finished developing yet so obsessing about calories either way is a bad idea. If you find you're gaining weight or fat too rapidly just reduce the amount you're eating.
