Is TOTD still fun going at or slightly above the speed limit? I read there is a ton of cops there is that true? is it pretty crowded?

There are more people there later in the day, but most everyone there has the same idea as you so nobody is going the speed limit. If you go early you could avoid the random person who uses the roads to actually travel lol. People also flash their lights at you if there are cops around. But I would advice investing in a radar detector. I used my Uniden r3 and it warned me of cops well ahead of time. But yes, there was cops there; so you are risking it for the biscuit a little bit.
That being said, the surrounding roads are also really great and no cops there. The dragon is something else however, if you are there with a car with a decent suspension and good brakes.
