Is this car dead already as any kind of impressive car? I was thinking about picking one up, but lately I've been seeing the everyday person driving them. Hell, my cousin who works in public transportation just got one.
Do you have to do better than a C7 vette to stand out these days?

Probably picked up a base stingray and you posted a pic of a Z06.

****in lol @ the hate ITT. Yall are telling me the C7 has the same allure it had when it first came out? Something only around ~.5% of the population can and does drive?
I'm seeing everybody with them now, lower middle class, etc. I'm not saying that's a bad thing.
For a car guy they're becoming "meh".*Hole is Life Crew*

You're talking to a guy who daily drives an NA Miata. I'm not much of a straight line speed adrenaline junkie like ya'll are. My enjoyment comes from limitless grip in corners and glorious notchy shifting.
TBH, the Z51 I rode passenger in melted my face on a straight and basically convinced me that big power is not for me. To each their own.

Hell yeah man. I took my c7 GS to tail of the dragon, it was the most fun I ever had with my car. The grip and handling was insane over there. The dragon is just a long ass autocross course basically. Going fast in a straight line is overrated af. I am thinking about selling my car and just getting a truck or something now because the roads here don't even compare, or even approach anything close to what the c7 gs can do, the car is wasted on texas roads.
Probably a lot to do with chevy's medium build quality. They come with tons of minor stupid problems like rattles and stuff, which a lot of people don't want to deal with. You can lemon law a car for that kind of stuff if it happens a lot. The drivetrain is generally considered to be stout. But then a lot people barely put miles on these cars so idk how true that is either. Its been pretty legit for me so far 34k on my 2017. 34k is not a lot of miles so i cannot comment on reliability.Last edited by Baby281; 08-03-2020 at 04:10 PM.

IDK about you, but once I'm 10 over the speed limit, my anxiety/paranoia levels shoot up to such a degree that I can no longer enjoy myself. Therefore, 500HP is not worth it for any street car I'm driving. As soon as you entertain the idea of it being a track toy, I'm on board.
Good looking car, dude! I'd love to visit there one day in a Miata or S2000. A C7 would be fun too of course. Touge, baby.

you should do it brah. go on a weekday and get your runs in early in the morning; the road is so epic and such a blast. I had way more fun on it than angeles crest hwy. the surrounding roads are fun too but they are more longer sweepers which you can take really fast the dragon is more like one of those roller coasters that change directions really fast on you.
