Edit: Likely wad being seen not slug (per misc. researchers).

Solid shot center mass. Odd that you can see it though... they travel faster than 9mm rounds. Looked like a bean bag round but the guy dropped instantly and later died. And you can see it continue on after it goes through the guy.

It's the wad and I don't think police use slug rounds, that would be retarded asf. Probably buckshot. From what I just gathered online, police have slug rounds, but only use them on bears and animals.
That object is in frame for too long with such ****ty resolution I don't believe you should be able to see it."Most people overestimate what they can do in a year, and underestimate what they can do in ten years"

Those look cool.
I have not carried and/or trained with slugs for years. We used Brennekes way back. At the time, the slugs we had used a rivet to hold the wad to the slug. That rivet had a tendency of coming back at you after hitting steel plates at short range.
I've re-watched the video a couple of times and think it is a slug but I could be wrong. You can hear the officer run the slide after he gets out so I figured he put a slug in the tube and chambered it. We were trained to carry shotguns with one down in the tube just so we could select a slug.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #53 ▪█─────█▪

They are excellent for soft targets like deer and leave a hell of wound cavity. I never really use a shotgun deer hunting anymore since I've got so many better options now. I used to make fun of the guys who use .300 win mag and chit like that to shoot deer cause its such overkill but as I've gotten older my tolerance for chasing blood trails through the woods is pretty much nil. Following blood trails through the woods and dragging deer 200 yards through thick underbrush sucks more with each passing year.

just fukken LOL @ the "stopping power" of pistols
no way in fukk i would use one for home defense
magnum slug crew
i bet that dude had a horrific exit wound
edit: that could have been the shotcup for buckshot too
i was under the impression that cops usually use buckshot so it's safer for people behind the target
the group would be really tight at that distanceLast edited by Ratfish; 07-31-2020 at 12:57 PM.

Can't tell if your joking or not but most people don't understand the massive difference in stopping power between pistol and rifle calibers. A .50 cal desert eagle, which is one of the baddest semi auto pistol calibers out there, has around 1500 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle. A 5.56 round, that some people mock for being weak has around 1800 ft lbs and a 7 mag has around 3000. A 9mm for comparison has about 350
