    Training while grieving?

My mother and grandmother both died, and I haven’t been able to bring myself to train at all the last few days... not even simple low intensity quick sessions.

How can I bring myself to train? I don’t want to lose gains I worked years for. Thanks.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

Not training for a few days - heck a few weeks, will not cause you to lose gains that you "worked years for."

Deepest condolences. Sorry for your loss.

Take this time to grieve and recover - physically, mentally, spiritually. I'm sure it won't set you back. Come back to the gym after a week or so. Hopefully by then, you're ready to crank out those reps.

Give yourself some time as mentioned above.
Ease back into and force yourself if you have to.
When you train and especially with some intensity you produce endorphins which should make your mood better.
Everyone though grieves their loss differently.
Good luck to you and my sympathies.

Thanks for the replies guys, I genuinely appreciate it.

I didn’t phrase myself correctly, it’s not that I’m worried about losing gains... I just had injuries lately so training has been frustratingly stop-start, and when my training routine gets broken up, I find it hard to get into a consistent routine again.... and that’s what I want to avoid happening.

    This!

I know exercise how ever much I don't want to do it makes me feel better in the end, a break sounds a good idea for a few days, personally i like to focus even more on things as a distraction. Sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss. You have to go through this grieving phase, just give yourself a break and hit the exercises will full-force and motivation when you feel like it.
