I used to hate the divas but loved the Joshi especially the Dreamslams.
That said since they legitimized they women’s scene in the WWE. It grows on you. It’s a staple in American wrestling now, to ignore it and not be entertained by it in any way shape or form would mean you’d basically need to cut all professional wrestling Programming out of your tv entertainment.
Can’t get around it unless you just stop watching altogether. Nowadays the best storylines involve the women wrestlers in some way.
You can just bitch and cry about it. It’s not going anywhere. It’s the era. It’s sad.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

Some of them are entertaining. Charlotte for example is good as any man on the roster. Shayna is a scary heel. Then there’s Alexa and Nikki Cross who are good all around. And Mandy who’s been great getting carried by Otis!
It’s sad that old school fans watch it weekly and pretend to hate it.
Today’s scene is still nothing compared to the better eras.
And they blame on Becky lynch, or the heroin but where were the parents at? Now looks where it’s at!BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

Some are enjoyable and are actually good(Charlotte vs Sasha years ago), but just cannot hold too much of my interest(nh).
Whenever they main event a PPV or RAW/SD, I just sigh. They should be treated like an IC championship level at most. Wresting did not became popular in the 80s/90s cuz of the women. I understand why they need to push the whole women division though, there are still female and ******* fans out there... and for PC culture/"equality" sake.CHRISTMAS Forever Crew

The dose makes the poison.
There is nothing inherently bad about women’s wrestling but it was always meant to be one of the many different kinds of acts. What it was never meant to be was equal in importance to men’s wrestling.
Women don’t have the variability of men, most look physically roughly equal beyond the occasional big fat one. Booking half the show around women is boring. And, yes, while I don’t mind the occasional women’s match as a non-******* I also don’t want half the matches and storylines all about women.
Then, because it’s 2020, you handicap women away from certain acts. It was perfectly fine for Joey Ryan to have a sexulized character or for Sonny Kiss to gyrate to the ring but if Melina was debuting in 2020 we all know some ******* fan would whine about her entrance.
Women’s wrestling should be one of many kinds of acts and they should not be shy about flaunting their assets.
I don’t watch WWE but I tuned in months back to NXT. This Becky Lynch started the show with a promo. Apparently she was what passed for a top female performer. One of the lamest promos I’ve ever listened to, boring, no passion, pointless and did nothing to make me interested. Some tall short haired broad confronted her, the crowd chanted cringe slogans and she cut a chit promo back. Then they had a good work rate match.
And that sums up WWE’s women’s division. Two under sexulized 6/10s with little charisma acting like men. I don’t want to see two broads without makeup put on a wrestling clinic and not for 2 fuking hours every weekAll truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

i like women wrestling I just hate how much they shove it down our throats with the revolution BS and I don't understand how people think Bayley and Sasha are great heels. they've been insufferable to listen to. i hate how much they rotate pushing the 4 horse biches and the division always revolves around them. also I want more sexy characters like Scarlett Bordeaux and Katie Forbes. 80% of the women are presented like male wrestlers now. Even sexy Kaitlyn shaved part of her head to look more "serious" and now looks like a butch Ruby Riot type chik atleast we have Lacy & Mady

As long as they have good storylines and characters I like womens wrestling. Like everything else in wrestling be it Roman Reigns or Lex Luger pushing something inorganically normally fails. When women's feuds get over because they are well written and interesting, they are good. When a mediocre feud or an already stale star gets thrown into the main event to virtue signal, it's mdeiocre TV.
I think WWE's women's division has been suffering from, what WWE always does when something gets hot a couple of times in recent years. Overexposing the stars until the fans get bored of them.
On the current state of women in WWE: I like Sasha's and Bailey's recent work, but they are featured way too much. Asuka is lacking a little character wise. Nikki and Alexa are good together. Lacey vs Naomi seems boring to me. Both are quite generic.
The division is also oversaturated with a lot of great talent, that has nothing to do.
I agree with this being a problem. Men have much more different bodytypes.
Joey Ryan isn't really sexualized. He is doing it for comedy. He also drew a lot of criticism for it. A better comparison would be Shawn Michaels.
But I see what you are saying.
There is still a lot of sexualisation going though. It's just not as much as bra and panties matches or stripper gimmicks.

Chucks of course you don’t watch mma much anymore. No live crowds anymore. If not for covid man, you’d be loving it. All of us in that mma forum were rabid mma fanatics before this chit went down. Got every card live except you’d watch a few hours later.

It's love/hate. Some of them are very good and entertaining. But when it's bad...it's really ****ing bad.
