hey hey, don't lump me in with some of these other fools on here who plays every new AAA game!
I've put about 20-25 hours into Ghost and I absolutely love it so far, but my passion and life-long interest in Japan and Japanese history might have be a little biased...
The game is truly beautiful, it has the most breath taking environmental graphics of any game I've ever seen... The grass, the trees, the leaves, the wind, everything is gorgeous. Some of the character models are a little bland, and sometimes you'll come across a random Mongol warrior who's face looks pretty chitty.
Overall it's a 9/10 for me, one of my favorite games of the PS4 generation.

You really dont need to stealth that much if you dont like it. I sometimes just walk into a camp issue a challenge, then fight like 20-30 guys at once in swordfights. Just unlock the parry skill tree and stance techniques and you can just hack n slash your way through everything if you prefer.

Game is great overall but the side missions get mad repetitive slow walking here follow this person oh look Mongols. Kill them all at impossible odds
Also I fukin hate spear *******s with a passion
But I’m hooked. The duels are so fun but i get wrecked all the time since I’m playing hard. I’ve gotten pretty solid though
All the other quirks are really fun like shrines fox dens following a gold bird haikus hot springs etc. gives it great replay value and things to doLook, i know i don't really know you and all, and i know you probably hear this like everyday, but your just so perfect to me. The few hours we talked were really great even if the convo was stale, your really pretty and chill, and your country thats just perfect :'D i really dont know how to explain it, but i think i have feelings for you somehow. i never felt like this with someone i just met, but i felt the need to get it off my chest. sorry for being all weird just idk how to explain it D:

Introducing Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a new cooperative multiplayer* experience inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology. Choose from one of four classes -- Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin - and play with friends or via online matchmaking in a series of two-player story missions or four-player wave-based survival missions.

Shadow is Chinese, set in the Three Kingdoms era.
If you want a good samurai movie, watch 13 Assassins(the 2010 version is obviously much better visually than the original). Takashi Miike is an incredible director.
Kagemusha, while older(1980) is a classic and a fantastic samurai movie. All of Kurosawa's work is amazing, but it's all quite old so if you don't like black and white, then most of his films aren't for you.

Hows everyone enjoying the game so far? I burnt out so hard for some reason and have no interest in the moment to continue ... I think I reached the second island after almost doing everything (minus the side quests) on the first island and then just didnt feel like playing it anymore.
Is the main quest long? I feel like I may just get back to it and beeline the main quest so I can finish the game quickly.Sig line can't be a novel

I'm looking forward to a new run if they add new game plus, which seems likely. Right now I just drop in and cruise around looking for crickets.
I've beaten the game twice. The first time I was clearing the map of missions and camps as I progressed but sadly the camps don't respawn enemies after you've cleared them. So the next run I ignored all the camps and did minimal side quests. Now there are still enemies all over the map when I jump in. The main quest isn't that long. You can beat it over the weekend if you're set.
There are two stances that provide a kick mechanism and it's fun to switch the two on the fly. The stance for dealing with brutes hits with kicks in its first two strikes; the stance for dealing with spear men has a massive kick when you hold triangle and release. Put these two together and you can kick a dude all over the place. Into water where they drown, off a camp's tower where they scream as they fly back, climb back up and get kicked off again.
Another over used tactic by me is kicking an enemy using the spear defense stance then switching to sword defense stance while I run toward the fallen enemy, then jabbing them in the throat as they stand by holding triangle then releasing.
There is also a kick mechanism if you jump then hit triangle. Enemies will figure that one out though and block it.
You have to mix up the stances and learn what their first, second, third, and powered up strikes are. That avoids getting into a button mashing frenzy.Last edited by Vardoger; 08-19-2020 at 07:20 PM.
