    Myofascial Release Therapy

Does anybody have any knowledge or experience with this?

I booked a deep tissue/sport massage and when I explained my issues the therapist suggested myofascial therapy. She tried it on me as opposed to the deep tissue and I noticed I was much more mobile the following day.

I'd like to hear some input from others.

It's simply massage at the end of the day.
It's as effective as a placebo, there's no inherent structural improvements or anything like that.

If it makes you feel better and you have the disposable income then go for it.

I think it could help if you are able to do it directly before training - in cases where you can't get into a free and full range of motion without it.

Depending what your issue is it can be helpful.
Ive had ART(active release therapy)done years ago and it was good but very painful.
It's done to break up adhesions/scar tissue from previous injuries.
Must have a high pain tolerance.
The good thing is usually two or three sessions and your good to go.
Can be pricey if your paying out of pocket.
