Finished up the latest round of mods on my G-wagon and been getting in a lot of time offroading with it.
I had some beadlock wheels made for it so I can run single digit tire pressure for rock crawling and such. Installed a dual air compressor setup with air lines run through the chassis to ports at each fender well with quick connects. So, I can inflate/deflate in the middle of nowhere in about 1 minute. I installed a dual snorkel setup for getting into the deep water and not tearing up the engine. Also did a suspension lift with adjustable suspension, rock sliders in place of the bulky side steps, etc. It has three lockers from the factory which already makes it pretty damn capable. I've been having a blast with it.
I'm just waiting on the roof rack and new Rigid GPS lightbar setup and then should be done for now. Having a good time in the meantime though...

das it mane, been watching your vids of the offroading and mirin hard.
I've been building my truck for offroading as well, kinda thrashed it when I last went out and it's in the shop right now. Got a bunch of plans for it down the line"So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."

I've enjoyed putting it through the paces. Everyone just knows them as mall crawlers or stuff for rap videos. Been nice dispelling some of that line of thought...
Thanks man. Yeah there is no tank...just two compressors, a pressure switch, and a regulator. Set the desired pressure and it goes to work for you.Misc CEObrah

I am guy. Flipped it right back over and kept on wheelin for the rest of the day. The only real damage was the snorkel got broken on that side. The picture in the OP of the passenger side where I'm on the hill next to the 4runner is after it was flipped. Didn't break the mirror or the fender skirt or anything lol...

Nice! I bought one of the first 250 to this country (non-gray market cars). I bought it for my wife as a 'grocery getter'.
One day I decided to go 4-wheeling on my buddys property he cleared. There was a 10' tree stump hole that was just filled in with dirt. Not compacted). After 2 days of solid rain it was like quicksand (which I did not know)
I totally buried it. That pile in front is the dirt it pushed out. Ruined 3 wheels trying to drive out of it. Circular scratchs on all. With 2 trucks I could not get pulled out of the hole.
Hit up some firemen right down the road with a bribe of a few cases of beer. They bought a fire truck down and pulled me out
I think this was 2004.
It was a fun car while I had it. Got rid of it as soon as it went out of warranty. While we had it, it was always in the shop for one thing or another.

There are a few on my IG page, a couple super recent, and then some older ones if you scroll back a bit. I don't have a youtube acct or anything like that, but you can find some on my IG linked in my sig.....some steep hill climb stuff, driving through some deep muddy water stuff, etc.
Yeah there are quite a few G-wagons in my neighborhood and surrounding area, but they definitely haven't seen any offroad time lol.Misc CEObrah

Thanks m8. Can't wait to get the roof rack on there with the light bar. The headlights don't do sh!t when out in the really remote areas and flanked by super tall trees. Should pretty well finish out the look also.
That's funny. I bet the firemen got a kick out of that. Did you have the lockers engaged? They will dig pretty good if you turn those on....although looking at how it was sitting in that pic, I don't know that it could have gotten out of that lol.Misc CEObrah

Yea...it was not going anywhere. The middle of the car was bottomed out and the front wheels were sitting in soup. Everything was just spinning. (I screwed up the rims in the process).
It was kinda like when you stick your foot deep in the mud and the suction takes your shoe off.
Funny story, I got rid of the g-wagen and got a mini-van. Srs. Just what family causes you to do at times. I can remember watching my wife put my daughter in a car seat up in the mercedes. 3 years later my son came along and we decided that sliding doors and automatic tailgates were now what we needed My kids are 16 and 13 now. My daughter who is 16 still remembers it a little. We got rid of it when my son was born. My daughters mind is blown because she now realizes it is a 'cool' car. She said...."why did you not keep it for me?". Ummmm no! We bought her a VW passat.
Anyway, that is awesome what you have done with it. Cool to see them get used what their original purpose was for. Car really is a TANK! Was at a car meet a few weeks back and saw this. Not sure if it gets muddy, but it was definitely tricked out. Looks AWESOME!
