The police could have done that.. and I doubt they did anything more than bring him down to the station and then immediately let him go (although I could be wrong). Nevertheless, you can't break the law. Forget about a KKK member burning a cross because that is covered under the first amendment and rightfully so. What is not, is telling someone that if they don't do X I will come to your house and do Y. Once you say that you do not receive the same protections. It is the same as if the kid said he would show up to school with a gun if a black kid on his team scores a goal... you have to draw the line somewhere... and threatening violence is usually it. But like I said, I am sure that they let the kid go and rightfully so. But it's still a good lesson for him.

I think he said he would come to his house dressed as a KKK member. If it were a kid saying they were going to show up to school dressed in a trench coat and then posted pictures of guns or the Columbine shootings, I think the police would pay a visit.
I honestly don't know what he was arrested for, I just assumed it was for a threat. Nobody should be able to be arrested for racism or racist speech... that's absolutely ridiculous. But if you threaten someone and they report it... you have to at least expect the possibility of a visit from police. Given that the kid was 12, you can make the argument that he is unable to make a legitimate threat.YOU ARE NOT A SLAVE

So he wasn't arrested for making a threat, he was arrested for making a "racist" post.....
Police chief admits up to 60 per cent of crime is not fully investigated because of a lack of officers

But they'll investigate "racist" speech on social media, and divert resources to come to your house, and arrest you.....even if you're 12.

I think you can certainly argue there was. When he threatened to show up at his house if he scored a goal, it certainly implied with bad intentions. If it was a 40 year old KKK member it would be viewed differently. The fact that he was only 12 draws into question whether or not a 12 year old is capable of making a legitimate threat.

You're trying to backtrack, he wasn't arrested for making a threat, because there was none, he was arrested for making a "racist" post, a 12 year old. And adults cheered the fact that he was arrested.
Imagine if this grown ass athlete showed some empathy, and said something like, "He's 12, who didn't do dumb **** when they were 12?"
Its not like he was shoplifting, or stealing cars. He just posted something stupid online.....
