And a lot of the champs are lacking heavily in "star power"... hence why Boxing will always be better than MMA

GSP was a well rounded fighter and a great ambassador for the sport. the big difference is fans will remember GSP, whereas nobody will remember snoozeman

as for mayweather he didnt just throw jabs, he threw every punch under the sun and landed with a high degree of accuracy. He had hand problems and had to limit his power to a more crisp snapping shots than really big KO power. He was getting lidocaine shots in his hands before the fights.

Other fighters have had the same issues, paulie malinaggi and joe calzaghe had to adjust their entire style around busted hands and were really only throwing to land scoring shots rather than trying to even hurt the opponent because their hands were so fragile. There styles adjusted to not throw their body weight into the punches and people called them slaps.
