    Diet break questions

So I was cutting for about 3 months. Never went below 2100kcals a day. I’ve decided to bump up to 2400kcals to give myself a break. Now, I feel amazing at this calorie intake. Energy is great, workouts are awesome. I reversed dieted up to 2400 from 2100. I’m doing my first show in about 10 weeks (Men’s physique). After eating around maintenance for a couple weeks...I’m not sure if I should go back down to 2100 right away, or cut back 100cals per week or so. I just want to do this right. Thanks in advance!

    Here’s where I currently sit.

I would wait till your 4-5 weeks out before cutting calories then week of start lowering water intake and carbs 3-4 days out, then carb up the morning before the show but don’t bloat yourself with crap and salt

Ok, thank you! Yes, I actually ate a large pizza last night. I am indeed retaining quite a bit of water from it.

ya generally white rice is always a good one, I don’t need as many carbs as a girl in bikini and do gummy bears (gelatin free cause vegetarian, but regular ones are good too) judging for me is normally in the am and I get veggie sushi for lunch minus fried or soy sauce. Rice crackers are also popular or cereal

Yes I have heard many people say that rice cakes are a good snack. I’m sort of a low carb guy most of the time though, so I’m trying to figure out which carbs work well for me. Definitely don’t want to bloat up on show day
