I do yoga as part of my active recovery. Is it advisable to chug on a protein shake after yoga practice? Thanks!

Focus on your daily intake. That is all that matters for individuals outside of elite athletes. Timing serves very little relevance. Aim for spiking MPS 3-5x a daily throughout meals; but it's really just personal preference for an average joe.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.
