Keep a log of everything you are eating and drinking throughout the day...I mean everything!
And report back here after you have 3 days of what your typical diet looks like.

Seconded, unless we know your rough intake then nobody can make any recommendations.

In general the way to lose fat is simply to eat less than you are burning throughout the day. This is made more difficult if you are inactive as your daily expenditure is much lower, however increased activity is not absolutely necessary (just advised) for fat loss.

The best way to implement this is to monitor your food intake, calculating calories by weighing and using a calorie tracking app (or alternatively food labels) and being honest with yourself, including dressings, sauces, cooking oil etc. Once you know this you can more accurately adjust to a level at which you can monitor if you are losing weight. If you are losing at a good rate (1-2lb per week) then keep eating at that level. If you aren't losing or are gaining, adjust your calories down again and monitor again.

It is not necessary to eat healthily or 'clean' in order to drop fat. You will lose just as much bodyweight if you eat 1500 calories of Mcdonalds a day as if you eat 1500 calories of chicken breast and broccoli. It is still wisest to err on the side of more nutrient dense foods as they tend to be more filling for fewer calories, thereby allowing you to undereat without experiencing severe hunger issues. Ensuring that a good portion of your calories come from protein sources (meats, fish, pulses, etc) is not only more satiating but can also help ensure that the weight you are dropping is composed of a greater percentage of fat as opposed to a more mixed combination of fat and lean body mass. So bear this in mind too.

But agree with Bosko that essentially you are shooting blind until you know how many calories you are eating currently and how this is affecting your weight.

For one lose the word diet from your vocabulary amd just adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Losing weight amd being healthy is not rocket science unless you have a medical condition of some kind just eat healthy and crunch the numbers and workout.

Stay in a healthy calorie deficit and give your self ample time. Patience is key and always remember a person can lose weight eating nothing but skittles but your health. Will deteriorate. So eat good healthy foods not empty calories.

Just follow that and you will lose wight guaranteed Again unless you have a medical issue of some kind

Buy a food scale and weight/measure/log literally everything that goes into your mouth. It is the only way to know exactly how many calories you are taking in each day.

Also, a desk job isn't an excuse to not lose weight. Find ways to be up and more active both in and out of the office.

I still remember the guy (complaining he wasn't losing weight, f course) who came back and told us after REALLY counting that he realized he was drinking over 700 calories a day 'with' his coffee (sugar, cream. flavorings).

    Yep.

My wife was shocked when I showed her what actual "serving sizes" of things like mayo and almonds were.

Yes, for me this problem is also well known. I spend too much time with my laptop, this is my job. And I don’t have enough time for full training.
