Hi,
I'm 15 , 150 lbs at 5'7. I have been strength training for around 9-10 months. My older cousin and all of his friends say I have terrible arm insertions (biceps) and deformed abs.
In addition, even though I can bench press 185lbs for 3-4 reps and do weighted chin ups at 90 pounds for 2-3 reps, I look way smaller. Is it just that I have bad genetics? Hopefully someone can answer, attached is a picture for reference. Genuinely want some insight.
Thank you.

Your arm insertions are fine - it looks like you have about a finger width gap between the ends of the biceps and the forearms when you flex them, which is pretty normal. I'd say bad genetics would be when you have more than 2 fingers of space between them. Look at it positively: your biceps peak will be higher than someone with longer biceps muscles. As for the abs, don't worry about it. Most people don't have perfectly symmetrical abs, even many pro bodybuilders. Only fat ****s will criticize you for having shredded abs anyway.
With the whole looking smaller now that you are lifting thing, you have to understand that muscle is denser than fat. As an estimate, one pound of muscle has at most, half the volume of a pound of fat. So, if your weight is the same as when you started and you look smaller, you've probably lost some fat and also gained muscle.
