Hey all, I saw that there are forums for ‘best products’ and all that, but I need input on 2 specific BCAA products. And yes, I know BCAA supplements aren’t essential, but I like them during my workouts and have always liked them.
I’m looking at Xtend BCAA mix currently, as there’s a big sale on it right now. I have been using EVL BCAA Lean Energy for years and have enjoyed it, but I always hear about how great Xtend is.
Not having the scientific knowledge, I was hoping for some input on which of the 2 would be better to drink throughout a workout, as I can get them at a similar price. From what I can see, Xtend has a better BCAA mix, but EVL has caffeine and beta-alanine (which my preworkout does as well)
Anyone have opinions on which of the 2 I should go for?

Well, there is zero scientific value to BCAAs, and possible downside to use. Plus, if you're meeting your macro daily, you're getting plenty of amino acids. More != beneficial. If you're not meeting your macro, fix that issue with protein which has a full-spectrum of amino acids. As always, nutrient timing isn't wholly relevant to the vast majority of people.
Beta Alanine doesn't really have value for the general gymgoer. Unless you're an endurance athlete or training multiple bouts per day or training >2-2.5 hours regularly, there isn't much upside, if any real world benefit.
I wouldn't buy either."I'm pretty sure your wrong, but care to elaborate..."
