    Question Creatine with Coffee?

    Hi,
    I was wondering if it okay to mix my creatine in with my morning coffee. I had heard that you're supposed to mix your creatine with a starch and mixing it with caffeine could reduce absorption?

    Can anyone help with this. Thanks,

    I am no expert, but I Googled around and I found a few articles that say you shouldn't do it. What do others think?

    No need to add a starch or carb. I would probably not add it to my coffee either as you can take it anytime of the day with the same effectiveness.

    There's been poorly designed studies that have advised against mixing them but better-designed studies including ones with double-blind and randomized trials found creatine and caffeine work fine together.

    It should be taken with carbs because increasing insulin will facilitate uptake by the muscles.

    Hehe, yea that makes more sense. Why would you ruin your coffee if you can just take creatine before?
