I occasionally hit the uprights/jcup on my Rogue ML rack when I walk out my squats. Normally, it's not a big deal but i kind of had a freak accident today where I jarred my back pretty badly with a heavy barbell on my back. I'm thinking about maybe throwing a second set of lock-jaw collars on the inside on the sleeves before loading up the plates, but if you have a better solution I'd love to hear it.
(Monolifts won't work for me, because I have an HR-2, and the horizontal crossmembers screw in right where I'd need to place the monolift)

Yes, this was an issue I had as well with my HR-2. Just put a couple of 5 lb plates on the bar first before the 45s.
You must be using a Rogue bar. My OBX-20kg was a bit wider and I rarely hit with it but I always hit with my B&R.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #53 ▪█─────█▪

You will improve with time. 3x3" uprights and wider rack can cause this but you'll acclimate. Monolift attachments are another solution so you never have to walk out a squat either. I used to hit on bench all the time...2 weeks late...nothing ever again.

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.
