This one will be dedicated to John Cyr and his inspirational weight loss and to healing. I stole what he wrote for May/June weight loss thread.
Hey Everyone!! Figured i'd make a thread so that everyone remains motivated and committed during confinement measures. I know for sure how it isn't easy as most gyms are closed and boredom makes you wanna eat sometimes (this is applicable with some states re-closure).
Feel free to join, introduce yourself, share your goal for this current thread. I am Ben. I keep this open to anyone. If I end up being the only one posting here that's fine. I'll just ride solo
Current Weight is 303.
Goal for this thread is 275.
Weigh in dates will be on Fridays and are the following:

Hello, again. I managed to reach my goal of 140 lbs for the previous month however it seems I still have enough belly fat to lose.
Starting weight: 140 lbs

I used to weigh myself every Monday morning but I will begin weighing myself on Saturdays this time around.
July 4 2020: 140 lbs (no wt. loss but went up to 142 lbs during the week so I will consider this a progress nevertheless)
July 11 2020: 138 lbs (went as further down to 136 lbs during the week but 138 lbs has been constant)
July 18 2020: 136 lbs

I’m in! I lost a decent amount of weight since lockdown but in the last month i’ve slacked off. I think a steady average of 1.5lbs a week should be achievable. I might be a couple of days late with my weigh ins.

In!!
6'2"
250 lbs
Goal: 220 lbs
I rejoined the gym for about 3 months before Covid hit and was going pretty hard lifting and running, trying to get back in shape. Unfortunately, I sold all of my home workout equipment when I started going to the gym regularly. Boy was it the wrong time to do that. I let myself go over the last few months of quarantine. I started going for daily hour jog/walks (mostly walk) last week so looking to push it to mostly or all jog by the end of this challenge and will add a 30 minute swim in my pool immediately after. Consuming a 2,000 calorie/day limit.
Good luck everyone! Updates to follow...
Jul 1: 246 lbs (weighed in at 250 a week ago before I started this cardio regimen, good signs so far)
Jul 8: 241.4 (took Saturday and Sunday off to rest, bad runners knee went too hard too fast- diet still in check)
Jul 15: 237.2 (steady progress, feeling good)

In, as I am on a cut after gyms have reopened. Plan is to compete in powerlifting in the fall, in the 83kg class (local meet here)
Starting weight was 200 lbs, goal until end of September is 185 lbs. I will most likely maintain in October. Good luck boys & girls
Jul 3: 199 lbs
Jul 10: 199 lbs - keeping a good track of my daily calories as usual, but last night had a bit too many carbs which bloated me a lot. Aiming for 197 lbs on 17th.
Jul 17: 197.3 lbs - good week overall, started incorporating some cardio 3 times a week. Keeping very good track of my calorie intake, aiming for 180 grams of protein daily etc. Lifting heavy as usual, my lifts are staying where they should.
Jul 24: 197 lbs - an average week but due to a short vacation (3 days) didn't lift for those 3 days and ate a bit more calories but still kept them close to maintenance levels. Still did some cardio/hiking. Aim for next week is 196 lbs or below, so let's see.
Jul 31: 196 lbs - another lb down, just as planned. Been monitoring the calories closely. Still able to maintain my main lifts and even ''PR'' on some additional exercises. Aim for next week is 195 lbs.
Aug 7: 194.5 lbs - another 1.5 lbs down, again - just as planned. Monitoring my calories closely. Have upped the cardio a bit, as I don't want to go down in calories, still cutting just fine on 2300-2400 kcal and also want to be more fit in general, so running, biking, additional mountain hikes, rowing etc. Aim for next week is 193 to 193.5 lbs. Let's get it!
Aug 14: 194 lbs - not exactly as planned, but still 0.5 lbs loss, so it's fine. Training has not been affected yet by this cut, all my lifts are still stable. Will be aiming for 193 lbs next week, maybe even 192.5 lbs, we'll see. I have upped the cardio a bit and I have started enjoying it more and more with each week. Feeling more fit overall. Some veins are starting to pop up which I haven't noticed before when I was above 190 lbs, so it's nice to see lol.
Aug 21: 193 lbs - another 1 lb down. Lifting and cardio has been going fine, not much more to comment on in that regard. I have still not dropped calories, not feeling hungry or anything either. Will be upping the cardio a bit more, as I actually enjoy it and don't think of it as a chore or something.
Aug 28: 193 lbs - during the week I was averaging around 192 lbs to 192.5 lbs but last night had a huge barbeque dinner - ribs, burgers etc so I feel pretty bloated this morning, but the weigh-ins are here, so it is what it is. Next week will be aiming for 191 lbs to 192 lbs. Let's go.
Sep 4: 192 lbs - 1 lb down. Will be upping the cardio a bit and will go down a bit in calories too, will be aiming for 2150-2200 calories/day and one additional HIIT cardio session weekly. Going on a week's vacation tomorrow, but will be doing regular cardio sessions/hikes/walks etc and will still be eating under maintenance to stay around 190-192 lbs.
Sep 11: N/A - I've been on vacation for over a week now, will update next week, the 18th. Been eating great & delicious foods all week, but haven't been binge-eating like crazy or anything like that. Also - just a few beers for the whole week thus far. Expecting to be at 192-193 lbs right now, we'll see next week.
Sep 18: 191 lbs - after more than a week long vacation, now back at it. Aim for end of September is to be 189 lbs, will keep cutting in October as well as my PL meet got postponed.
Sep 25: 190 lbs, actually a bit lighter even. The week went just fine, probably will end up around 188-189 lbs on October 2nd, next Friday, which is 3-4 lbs above what I set as initial target, which is fine considering almost 10 days vacation time and other shorter breaks.
October 2: 188.5 lbs. which is 3.5 lbs away from my initial goal, so I will push a bit further until I reach it. I believe I will aim for 180 lbs, as I want to get pretty lean this time around and not stop at 13-15% bur rather try and exceed my all-time leanest state. Let's see.
Total weight lost since the start of the thread: 10.5 lbs
Total weight lost since the start of my cut overall: 19.5 lbs - I started at 208 lbs, back in the end of MayLast edited by IvanNorge; 10-01-2020 at 11:09 PM.

Yay! Count me in
Last challenge I started late but took off 5 lbs between May 29th to June 30th. Not my goal but I guess there wasn't going to be a water weight plunge as first thought, plus I did not exercise as much as originally planned.
I've popped back up to 300. Setting myself another more realistic goal of 5lb per month so 15 for the challenge. Also setting an inch goal at 10 inches off all around.
Current Weight: 300
Goal for this thread: 285

Again, this is open to anyone to hop in and out of for their tracking. Some may just post here to reflect a more stringent path they are on... either way it always helps even those who stumble upon this and get inspired.
I look forward to all the weigh ins tomorrow (or Saturday for that one poster.)6'6" crew. Just trying to go beastmode every day at the gym. Tall/Fit and to finally go under 238.

And yeah. 3 months has always been the sweet spot for me to see progress either in the mirror or on the scale. Theres some days where something changes or is unexpected and either you ate too much or something happened and it's not negative but life happens. I appreciated the 2 month one before as it rebooted me after my gym re-opened me but im ready for a 3 month push through to newer body fat lows and heavier lifts of thy weights

Assuming this drop is water fluctuation given that it's taken place over only a couple of days. Have been cutting for several weeks so know it isn't initial water weight. Have updated the conversion on my initial weight so it lines up a little better.

Same as my weigh in from my Wednesday weigh in to complete my last challenge. I've been on point with my calories every day. Lifts have been. Trying to keep lift heavier and incorporate some new, with good form, lifts as I continue to expand what I know. Will drop cals 100 once I get below 300lb to 2400.
Time to hit the gas pedal.
Current Weight is 303.

I’m in,
Used to join these last year and really found it helpful, long story short I suffered a bit with depression and let things slide and started pushing the scales upwards again..... never thought it would happen to me, depression, I’m quite outgoing have a good family and no real worries but it came out of nowhere and hit me big time. The gym closing due to COVID just made things worse as that was my outlet so I am determined to push the scales the right way again!
Will get my current weight in the morning and set a target from there.
