Big rest and recovery week. My body was pretty shot from going from no exercise to all out for 4 weeks straight. I feel a lot stronger and lighter than last week despite losing less weight. I am starting intermittent fasting today (no dinner) and am expecting big results for next weeks weigh in!

Another week gone by and nothing exciting to report, still seeing decent progress. Based on my progress so far I don’t plan on dropping my calories at all, I’m just going to see how long I can ride this out, even if my rate of loss slows a bit.

Wow busy week That weight was from Friday. I added walks at lunch. Got really tight with measuring everything. Also trying lower calories but have a hard time being below 2000. I also do a fast day, Monday or Sunday. Weight after that is typically four of five pounds less. I get four or five pound weight swings, which can be demotivating, but overall still going down.
I am traveling now so hard to stay on track of workout and diet. Guess we will see what happens next week!!---Chicago Crew---

I remember one thing that can be helpful for you, if you do not already know about it.
I bought a very simple MiFit watch. Besides other functions, it count steps.
I´ve got great progress by walking 8000 steps a day. Such number was achieved during the day. 2500 in the morning, 3000 afternoon, and so on.
I've gained energy too.
I remember some days that I was at night but still with 7200 and needed to walk around my neighbourhood some steps to achieve the 8000. Unforgetable.
Sadly I 'woke up' an old spondilolistesys and needed to suspend until I return to some bodyweight below 250.

Was able to up my bicep curls to 50lbs today at 6 reps. A struggle bus for sure but I made sure my form was good and kept a pumpin'. I used to be at 55lb pushing 60lb at my highest years back so any uptick helps. Also felt good getting into some smaller clothes over the weekend.
Anyways, keep the fork DOWN and your choice of exercise UP. We are one month in so far.6'6" crew. Just trying to go beastmode every day at the gym. Tall/Fit and to finally go under 238.

Feeling stronger every day! My right leg is still somewhat weak from trying to being mostly off it for 4+ months. I had some freakish thing happen at Christmas where I couldn't walk on it and was in excruciating pain when I did. My calf was incredibly painful, and the knee completely weak. I went for an ultrasound because the calf thing sounded like a blood clot. Still don't know what caused it but 8 months later I'm almost back to normal except for some lingering weakness and stiffness after sitting, and knee aches. It's my main obstacle right now, but it won't stop me.
So late to posting but I do the weigh ins. Hope everyone is having a great week!

I was as low as 229 on Saturday but pulled a hamstring that night and hurt my back golfing the next day overcompensating for the injury. Definitely shouldn't have gone but I love golf lol. I've just been resting and eating a lot trying to recover and get ready to go back at it. I'm feeling a lot better and should be able to resume my routine tomorrow after work. I don't feel as bad about these small setbacks now that I know how fast I can lose the weight by being consistent. This thread has helped me a lot in that regard. Good luck everyone!

Today's my birthday which is why I decided to step out of the normal Friday/Saturday weighing days. I have reached the upper limit of my estimated weight goal for this thread, however I want to keep pushing further down to ~124 lbs. I may gain some weight tomorrow from indulging some cake today but I'll be back on the path and lose that weight as quick as I put it on. Chest day today. No days off.
Hope everyone else's also on the path and doing well. Good luck and take care of yourselves.Negs on sight for ShaneTMI.

Thank you. I definitely had a great birthday. I gained 1 lb today from yesterday's cake and whatnot but that's OK. I honestly cannot believe how great my life's begun to be ever since I started on this journey. Best of luck to others on their weight loss journey. This thread and participants in this journey have really had a huge impact for me — coming to this thread every weekend just feels like a community of friends getting together to better themselves. Thank you very much everyone for this opportunity and good luck on your journey. See ya tomorrow

Good job man! Keep it up, I'm sure you don't look disgusting, I think one of the unfortunate side effects of self improvement is that it can give you a lower opinion of yourself and make you hate what you see in the mirror more. I definitely get the same thing where I become hyper-critical of the way I look, moreso than anyone else would be.
Stay committed and you'll arrive where you want to be soon enough, good luck

For those of you having problems, remember as you go deeper into a cut your body can subconsciously move less (lower NEAT), so you need to CONSCIOUSLY move more to counteract that effect.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

The 1 lb of weight I gained from the cake and all went down and I'm back to 130 lbs as of today. I've changed my goal to 125 lbs because I think I still need to lose some more fat. Thank you all for your kind words and motivation.
I don't think many of you in this thread know this but I've been depressed since I was 16 mainly because of my fatness (I made a thread about it back in the day too) but I never set out on losing that weight. I used video games to escape reality: I would get bullied in school and want to change myself, but escape from all the chaos by playing video games as soon as I got home instead of using the opportunity for change. 2+ years down the line and I'm 20 lbs lighter than what I used to be, and I have honestly never felt as good about myself as I feel now. I feel more confident, energetic and motivated than I used to be.
Good luck to everyone else on this journey, and take care of yourselves. Thank you again for letting me join, the people in this thread really are amazing and motivating. See ya next weekend!Last edited by plumedollar1; 08-07-2020 at 07:48 PM.
