    pull ups

Although I can do pull ups fairly easily I do start to struggle with the last 10% of so of the movement as fatigue sets in. The last portion of the movement, getting my head up past the bar. What muscles are the primary drivers of that last portion, and what additional exercises can be done to strengthen them?

Try looping a band around the bar and step on the bottom loop for assisted pull-ups if doing at home
    Burn rubber, not your soul

Holds can help if your strong enough to hold your chin over the bar.
Step from a bench and hold in the top position if you can.
    Do several sets of holds.
The above answer about doing negatives will also help.
You might also do the same with the lat pull down machine if your not strong enough on the pull up holds or negatives.
An assisted pull up machine would be even better if your gym has one.

I think it's normal and perfectly fine if the last bit is the hardest as fatigue sets in. Be careful to not roll your shoulders forward too much to get that last bit. It's a good way to impinge your bicep tendon (2 of my brothers had this issue, and one tore his tendon and can't put a bar on his back anymore).
