    Best pad for hip thrusts?

At the point where my rolled up towels aren't doing an adequate job for barbell hip thrusts.

So looking for good recommendations of a pad that fully protects, is durable and isn't awkward.

A lot of pads out there with a lot of mixed reviews, especially once using heavier weight.

The squat pads that have a groove for your neck work well. The groove protects your junk for hip thrusts.

Yes - I have one just like that ^^

Except I can't really recommend the make I bought ("Power Guidance") because it's started to split already.

Any specific brands / models of those squat pads you all would recommend?

There's plenty of cheap garbage out there (as SuffolkPunch alluding to)

    2 points:

When I used to do them, I used a folded 'commando' sleeping pad. It's ultra dense foam.

The high bar back squat has been proven to be twice as effective as hip thrusts/glute bridges for building ass meat.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

Your images aren't working for some reason, probably because of the weird Amazon URL.

I use the same sponge wrap-around bar pad. Cost $12 off eBay and works well.

You might consider getting one of those Airex square blue pads, it could be used for other stuff as well (I use mine to kneel on for lunges, etc). Plenty of cheap Chinese-made knockoffs available on Amazon, just pick one.

Images work fine for me on desktop and mobile.

I use a cheap Dark Iron Fitness pad off Amazon. It's on the firm side and the bar falls out if you aren't careful. Does the job but hard to recommend.

I have one similar to what keyboard posted that I got off ebay. It's lasted about 2 years but it's starting to split now. A rubber mat folder over would work too.

There's always the el cheapo option of using foam pipe insulation from Home Deopt. May not be thick enough though.

I bought mine from Amazon. It's got velcro straps, was under $15. Brand name is Lxuemlu. It's on sale now. Great for squat and hip thrust support.

I use a squat sponge for these when I do em, but i'm not crazy about the distance it creates between my hips and the bar(the diameter on my biggest plate isn't that big, so it jams me against the floor and is a hassle to get in and out of position). I have heard hip thrusts, and also front and zercher squats become a bit easier to manage by just using a bar with a thicker shaft on it, such as an axle. Less of a pinch on sensitive areas.
