My son and I spent the afternoon at the VFW today. Hotdog cookout and fund-raiser for a Vietnam Vet who passed away. I have never been here before. Some really good people. I made a small donation and one of the guys asked if he could give my son and I a tour of the place. Some really cool stuff honoring those that have served.
I thanked them very much for their service and apologized for what is seems like is a part of this country that wants to flush down the toilet all these guys sacrificed for. I made sure to thank them again. Somehow it is a great reminder of what is important in life. My son and I had a little chat about what some people think America should become. I explained to him the sacrifices and service of both his grandfathers and both Great grandfathers were WWII veterans.
After the cookout, they organized a big ride. It was cool riding along with about 100 other cars. Most had flags and certainly a patriotic group. It was a good thing to do leading up to the 4th.
Some cool cars there too.
Nice 57 vette. I am in love with the red Chevy II. My son got to sit in a new vette. Older guy was super nice. One of the coolest wraps on a Jeep. American flag drape. Really cool. I think about 10 little kids all wanted pics in my car after they saw me let one kid hop in. All in good fun. Thank god no one was eating icecream! As messed up a time as this is, I hope my son can look back at this summer and remember more good memories than the crazy Corona stuff. We met some very nice people today, and it make me miss my Grandfather greatly. Wish I could have another day with him.

Howdy ID....
On spread....
For for offering your time taking part in the VFW hotdog cookout/fund raiser for the VN vet.
I'd guess it was a pretty cool father/son bonding event also.
Some damn fine looking automobiles there.
On that note.....everyone have a safe and enjoyable weekend with family and friends.

I tell it like it is, if you want smoke blown up your ass or something sugar coated. I suggest you get a Hooker and a powdered donut.
