Navy Method said 10% body fat, but I don't have defined abs

I am 5'8 and 130lbs as of recent and I calculated my body fat percentage at 10% via the Navy method, so Id imagine roughly 11-12% give or take really, however I do not see defined abs, but really just the lining of them, do I need to start putting on muscle on order for a six pack to show or try to shave a few more percentage points? I don't want to burn more fat if my abs need more muscle in order to be shown in the first place, any advice would help.

    Thanks

If you're a 5'8" male and you don't have abs at 130 lbs then no amount of dieting down is going to give you what you're after. Time to reverse course and start building.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

You probably do not have enough developed muscle to have what people think of as "abs". You haven't put in the time and hard work required to have developed the muscle mass needed for them to be prominently visible at essentially ~any~ body fat level.

"Abs" are abdominal muscles. Like all other muscles they won't be visibly defined simply be losing fat. They require time and effort to be made towards building them up first.

Definitely time to put on some size. Eat in a small surplus and train your abs!
