    Although EGCG needs caffeine to achieve the desired effect, EGCG is a catalyst to weight loss when coupled with caffeine. Think of a car with an NOS system installed on it. The car is the body, uses caffeine as car fluid (NOT gas) and the NOS is the EGCG boost that bolsters the weight loss effect from the caffeine.

    No. EGCG is a fantastic anti-oxidant but does almost nothing for adipose tissue when isolated.

    Green tea is a great supplement. It is a powerful anti oxidant. The caffiene/ECGC may help in fatloss but the results wont be noticable. Do not expect it to be the reason you get shredded, it will probably contribute less than 1% to your results buts its cheap and wont hurt.

    They also don't say that EcGC definitively do anything. Just reading an abstract isn't the same as reading the meta-analysis. Unless you're a strong Spanish speaker you're not going to understand what you read anyway, and I couldn't find it in English.

    One of the key things of note that the majority of the 15 studies were on the obese. Further, the results don't support massive differences in results improvement to control. In some cases, barely meeting statistical significance. To claim that the improvement was because of EcGC when we're talking about less than 1lb in mean difference in groups, in some cases, is specious at best. This is worsened by the fact that caffeine is involved as a variable.

    This is what the studies show. It shows that what Rhadam is saying is accurate actually.
