Xtend Perfect 10 Amino review

I want to thank NEBinAK for selecting me to try Xtend's Perfect 10 Amino.



I opted for the Strawberry Dragon Fusion flavor since it's a flavor I never tried before when it comes to a supplement.

I'll comment on the taste first since Xtend is known for great flavoring when it comes to their intra supplements. I haven't had Xtend in YEARS. I'm talking about going all the way back to when I first joined this board years. So I was excited to see if Xtend still tasted as good as I remembered it.

Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of this specific flavor. I used only one scoop and it was usually in approximately 24-32 oz of cold water. I just couldn't come around to liking the flavor at all and if I'm being honest I didn't look forward to drinking it during my training. It wasn't horrible or repulsive by any means it just wasn't something that was refreshing to me. The initial taste is strawberry-like but then the other half of the flavor just has a taste that turns my taste buds off. I rather just drink water during my training vs this and that sounds harsh but I gotta be honest.

Formula wise it seems ok. I like the Electrolyte blend, especially with me lifting in my garage in the Arizona summer this definitely is beneficial. I was a little surprised in the small amount of L-Leucine included in this at only 1g at 1 scoop and just 2g if you use 2 scoops. I was under the impression a higher dose of L-Leucine is beneficial and looking at other similar products their L-Leucine amount is higher. Other than that it seems like a straight forward product.

The effects of the product were really unnoticeable. I didn't notice any increase in performance in the gym nor any added recovery benefits. I workout first thing in the morning after waking up and typically with no meal prior to training. So it's hard to say if this product benefited my training or not but I would assume it wouldn't be a negative to my training aside from me disliking the flavor.



The price point is nice at only .75/serving if purchased here on bodybuilding.com.

Overall I, unfortunately, selected the wrong flavor that didn't agree with my tastebuds. Most products like this seem to be water flavoring for a lot of people and flavor is an important aspect so I would say make sure you're going to like a flavor like this before trying.

I'm about half way thru a tub of the watermelon and its pretty tasty 1 level scoop to about 28-30oz water.

Did you try mixing it with more water? It might dilute the flavor a bit if it's too strong.

I've had straight Dragon Fruit and thought it was a unique and refreshing flavor but I can see how
trying to combine it with a strawberry flavor can leave a bad taste in your mouth. Dragon Fruit is
strong and keeping it on it's own probably would have made it more pleasing on taste.

I figured it would taste good but for some reason my taste buds didn’t agree.

I like to take them during my rides. Not sure how much difference it makes on the bike, but I definitely noticed a difference while lifting weights. I take Revolution Pure BCAA. Tastes is good.

I can tell no difference at all while lifting. I notice more of a difference taking 1g of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt vs a BCAA supplement during my training.
