    How close am I to visible abs? (pics are in my profile)

    I've been working out 6 days a week for about a month now while eating at a deficit. So far, I've dropped about 6 pounds, but I still can't see my abs without stretching my skin with my hands. I think I started at about 16 to 17 BF.

    Based upon your avatar photo, you do not have enough developed muscle to have what people think of as "abs". You haven't put in the time and hard work required to have developed the muscle mass needed for them to be prominently visible at essentially ~any~ body fat level.

    "Abs" are abdominal muscles. Like all other muscles they won't be visibly defined simply be losing fat. They require time and effort to be made towards building them up first.

    As mentioned above, you could probably reach a state where you have enough muscle mass for visible abs without having to constantly starve yourself. Don't be one of those guys constantly worrying about water weight, carbs, sodium etc, just to get a faint outline of abs through the skin - this will also prevent the development of the rest of your body too.

    Chasing abs with as little muscle as you have will just have you looking weak, sick, skinny (and still very possibly NO ABS.)

    You don't need to keep on cutting. You barely have any muscle at all. It doesn't matter how low you get your bodyfat if you barely have your ab muscle developed at all. Abs like any other muscle need to be trained, a surplus and protein to grow. If you keep on cutting you might get your abs to show, but it won't look good at all. You'll just look like your starving
